Its gonna be bad for the business man who are controlling the oil industry and its gonna be a good thing. Electric cars are good solution to expensive price of gasoline. Aside from environment friendly, electric cars are cheaper.

Then yes it's bad for the oil industry. If I open a supermarket next to another supermarket, then it's bad for that other supermarket.

I know a person in Kentucky with a similar story, it hurts it.

Even though electronic vehicles are getting popular, many people will still tend to use gasoline generated vehicles because electronic cars are too costly that makes it so expensive to become affordable and it do really need a lot more energy to reach miles away compare to gasoline generated vehicles that can reach far places with just a couple of liter contained in the tank. It do takes up so much time for charging so as for now, electronic cars are not a threat to oil companies and even the oil industries.

For me, Yes off course are electric cars bad for the oil industry and that is because electric cars dont use allot of oil you know so they need allot less then before. So when everybody is going to use electric cars it will be very bad for the oil indutry ..

Bad for the oil industry as well as in the government as we all know the impact of Oil Industry in each country especially in middle East where in a lot of company were built because of them, when it happens that there is discovery or invented that does not need Oil then Middle East will be in trouble/crisis.

Saudi Arabia is introducing a 5% VAT next year to help stabilize their budget due to all the lost income from oil production. So it's clear that the low oil prices are having an impact on their ability to run their country, and it will continue to be a problem as world oil consumption slows and starts to drop in the coming years. Electric cars will account for a large percentage of lost oil consumption.

Electric cars are indeed much better for the environment rather than the ones that uses oil and produces smoke which creates air pollution. It will greatly affect oil industry but it will benefit the nature and also the people because they can breathe clean air in highways. Currently the price of oil in our country went up and it is really costly than electric cars.

Maybe it is, Maybe its not because when majority of the people are using electrical cars we can. it is good for oir environment, some people they dont want an electric car, becuase they dont have a money to buy it. So some people in our country they protest to not enter an electric car.

Electric cars are just starting up which means they are just few on production which we know that it would really be expensive which not all people do have the capability on buying such thing.This would indeed hurt up oil industry but not totally a reason for it to be stopped because not only cars are using oil industry but it do have a big role on industrial machinery which isnt included on such innovation.

For the petrol/gasoline industry maybe, however, not for the whole hydrocarbons industry cause a lot of it is used for electricity generation or by chemical industry. Consider it from the perspective of law of conservation of energy. Electric cars just use another type of energy.

I still don't see a lot of changes happening to the status quo. It will only reduce the profit that is being declared by this multi nationals but not to send them out of existence. Just like the way the train and airplane industry are working concurrently without anyone disturbing each other and the moment all these multinationals are smart about the future they will feature in it. I have read about Shell talking about renewable energy thats them gradually moving away fro dependence on oil.

yes this electric system cars is so much trouble in oil industry, this electric cars has more good impact in the human. not only because you can get a less in buying oil, and you only need only a small amount of current. but also it helps to lessen the pollution in this earth

Of course. It is a threat to them of ever the car manufacturer will also creates electric cars because their gasoline, diesel or any other car fuels will become useless and people will no longer buy the fuel-engined cars because they can save MO eyes if they will use electric vehicles and they could also save the environment from the harmful effects of it. But since now, only electric motor bikes are available so I think it is not yet a real threat to oil industry owners.

Electric cars may be gaining in popularity but the widespread of its production and demand is too little compared to cars that use oil. As of now electric cars isnt that much of a threat to oil industries because of the fact that the majority of the world's population is still leaning on cars that use oil but i guess things will change in the year 2500 where pollution is a threat to humankind.

Of course it is, just imagine if people would start using electric cars. People will not need oil anymore. Oil industry would be dead, and a lot of businesses especially those oil companies would go bankrupt.
