No, it won't happen ever. Yes, there will be only several of them in future (I am not speaking about this year) but these projects will be cool. I do not participate in any ICOs for now and waiting for the better times.

I don't think ICO will die, but it's starving, unless most scammers get out the space and sell their funds raised to real crypto guys, this suffering will continue, for even longer than one year or two.

At the first stage of 2018 almost all ICO projects are becoming fake or scam that give doubt for the other ICO investors. Many people are creating ICO scam but it doesn't mean that ICO's dying off, you need to be wise and analyze everything about the project to avoid scam project.

I fully agree on this statement, nowadays, this 2018 a lot of ICO has been introduced in the market, and it gives the awareness of some investors that it might be, some scammers used ICO as a method in collecting money from the community, as such it does not mean, ICO will die, we just need to understand the nature of what we are investing into.

ICOs are not reliable enough. When investors will be able to be protected during the ICOs, they will be ready to invest again, but not right now or in the nearest future.

I think you need to open coinmarketcap and look at charts of all currencies, specially Ethereum. It costs 200$ and I say that mostly ICOs are based on it's blockchain ERC-20.

ICOs are not dying off, what I see and understand is that the good ICOs are been filtered while the craps are thrown out of the system, When ever reputable project emerges, it get funded.

That's true investors are wiser now than before, but sometimes an even good project is having a hard time getting funded because of the so many ICO in the market, it's very diluted now, a good project is having a hard time competing with fraud ones.

The market started falling lower from June. And we look at the chart, it can also be seen that from June the ICO started to decline sharply and peak in September, the amount of money invested in ICO is only 1/10 compared to May, really bad for ICO

ICO will still be here even if people stop investing. The slow down in ICO investing has to do with downtrend in cryptocurrency market prices. Invedtors are been catious not to have their funds devalue!

I do not agree if the ICO is in a state of dying. in fact, some ICOs that emerged this month are very reliable with a very good team that is very solid and has a very good and trusted company or platform goal.

2018 brought great disappointments. Let's hope for the best that fraudulent schemes with ICOs in the coming year will be settled and verified.

All people who are now in the market probably already have some tokens which they buy on ICO and because of the very big looses they don’t sell them. This is the reason why people do not invest their money in new ICO, and money is not entering the market. Therefore, no one can raise soft cap/hard cap  for their project. Only with the Bull market everything will change.

ICOs need new blockchain that would be more affordable and more reliable than Ethereum. EOS shows good results, but I see much more competitors to come.

ICOs are not dying off. The problem is the lack of investors and the lack of interest from the community members to any new projects. We need to invest more in ICOs to make them profitable again, or we will not see any profitable ICO.

Most of them were born dead. I mean that some project have very small chance to be successful, so I wonder how did they managed to get so much money.

In my opinion it happened because of unstable market prices. Maybe they are waiting for a stable price and then come up with a new concept. Some ICOs need a long time to reach their targets. We have to think positively and not judge too quickly that an ICO is bad or dying off.

We have to remember also that waves are a natural part of trends. Interest must rise and subsequently fall. The floors and ceilings may shift in the long term which would be much more indicative but in the short term, we're merely seeing people rethinking how to tackle some of the issues that have resulted in many ICOs failing.

no in my opinion the icos are not dying but there are many of low quality without innovative ideas, we just have to look good those worthy in which we deserve to invest
ICO's are making it's way into most people's investment portfolio and they are guiding the steps for the upcoming ICO's.

The answer is no, the ICO will not die. In the current market situation, ICO and investors are in a down state. ICOs need good market conditions to grow and people need to wait patiently through this difficult time, everything will be fine again. But there are also a series of fraudulent ICOs that have been created, which is one of the things that makes the ICO die out when people no longer trust the ICO.

I don’t think the ICO time has passed. In 2017 and in the beginning of 2018, most of the niches in which innovative projects could develop were occupied. Over time, new niches will appear or more reliable projects will be implemented instead of fraudulent ones. The procedure of conducting an ICO using crypto tokens is very convenient, so it will exist.

it seems yes, because I see a lot of ICO that fail so I agree if you say that the ICO is dying but that might also happen because the ICO now doesn't have a new idea about project (the same as an existing project) so investors are lazy to invest in ICO for this time.
