Memes are just for fun, they would succeed but not in the long run.

If we participate to hype certain meme coins, then we are responsible for making this market a mess where investors will blame crypto in the future as they become a bag holder of a bad coin with no future.

We can only stop this if we learn and get ourselves educated, at least we will not just invest blindly because of  the hype.

I won't even read the comments. Please ... stop fooling hamsters. What a trend it is. 99% of memes will die in the first year. This is true ..... Someone just quickly earns on HYIP. I'm sure this is a wicked game

Starting with your title, if you are just knowing that now, that means you are knowing about it late. I think the trend started the time when Elon musk started supporting Doge coin, and since developers do not play with opportunities they swung into action and that lead to countless of them being developed.
Also, I can't really say they are bad for the industry because those developers are just building what they think will work and it kinda worked (maybe to an extent), it also paved way for a lot of people to join at the same time throwing more light on the world of cryptocurrencies, of which at this juncture many people (mostly newbies) will be able to differentiate between good coins and shitcoins.
Lastly, just as a lot of people made money from them, a lot also couldn't, thus going back to the main thing people have been saying which is, invest in good coins and relax as they will always last long term. Not also bad investing the profits from MEME coins into good coins.

With the rise of Doge Coin, there have been countless MEME coins launch on different platform.
What are you thoughts on meme coins? Are they bad for the industry? Or Are they a gateway drug for newbies to enter the game?
Not that bad but it's the nature of the crypto market that it has different types of cryptocurrencies so having them is just usual. It's because of Elon that these meme coins became of a trend.
But if he's not on Dogecoin, that's for sure that it's not going to be as popular as they are right now. Hypes and trends are going to be stopped soon when most investors understands what's more important to invest in this market.

They’re the perfect way to get absolutely REKT. Seriously, avoid them & invest in the established coins/tokens. Sure some people do well by getting lucky with a memecoin but they’re the minority.
if you have participated by buying meme coin and have already made a profit of course it is a blessing because of the meme trend,
we can't avoid this trend, it's better to follow it and be able to profit from this, like Defi, then Binance Smart chain,
and the other the last meme, oh yeah Nfts, we just participate and do it for profit

I would rather say that the MEME coins were a trend but no more. As you have correctly mentioned, with the rise of the Doge coin which is over-appreciated corresponding to tweets made by a famous character, more people started to create such coins. Almost all these coins do not posses a significant value or a strong case to be realized over the time. At this moment, it is no more a trend and most of the traders would rather like to keep some other assets rather than MEME coins.

New trend? Let's talk about NFT or defi projects because they are very useful unlike meme coins what can they do for their adopters? That's why I believe this is stupidity I'm talking about those who are buying meme coins dreaming of becoming millionaires

In general and in long run meme coins are bad but at the moment I would say ride the wave and try to take profits. Nothing bad comes from taking profits along the way.

Believe it or not they are all pump and dump coins, you can take risks but be very smart to take profits, yes its possible to make gains out of them because many want to make money from doge coin but lose the opportunity so any other dogecoin wannabe will tempt them, remember they are all pump and dump projects

Totally bad for the crypto industry. Maybe some meme coins can be considered as serious coins like doge, shiba but remember that it's easdy to spam meme coins from the smartcontract. that was also luring scammer to create so many scam coin to fool the newbies. There are lots of scam meme coins that already dead caused by the creators already rugpulled the funds that already invested by the investors.
This is not even a gateway for newbie to enter crypto. This is more likely a gambling

For me  meme coins are not bad for the industry because they are like an icing on top of a cake . They might not be as valuable as bitcoin but it helps newbies to explore more on cryptoworld as to how it really works. It is up to the holder on how he can turn it into a profitable investment.

What are you thoughts on meme coins?
There's nothing much to think about. They can add as many features as they want but they're still meme. Period.

Are they bad for the industry? Or Are they a gateway drug for newbies to enter the game?
Well, it's the market that will judge. Nobody really expected Doge to pump until new players/influencers entered the market (Elon, WSB, redditors, etc). SHIB had a good backing until Vitalik dumped his bags. Who knows if these new Doge killers or the next Shiba will get the same support.
