meme coin has indeed become a trend, but I don't like it at all, because in my opinion memecoin has no utility and can't last long term, unless later there is a meme coin that has good utility, I will support it

Meme coin is a fun coin meant to build a community of interest in cryptocurrency.  As far as I know,  meme coin could be use for charity,  sporting events,  topical dialogue and use to raise concern about issues or to promote a way of life!  At the peak of cryptocurrency market bull run,  we saw success of doge and shiba inu and this might have encouraged those who want to cash in on the trend!

With the rise of Doge Coin, there have been countless MEME coins launch on different platform.
What are you thoughts on meme coins? Are they bad for the industry? Or Are they a gateway drug for newbies to enter the game?

Im a bit agree that the meme coins is a gateway for newbies to enter the game, but i dont like that things happen since its risky to them to join on such the project without any good aim and fundamental.
Meme coins power only from the communities, if the community weak then nobody will held the price and easy to dump, its ok to put some small money there, but its for fun and scalping only.

I always avoid buying meme coins, no matter how interesting the meme coins are. because in my opinion meme coin has no utility at all, so it has no potential in the future, but people's decisions and choices in investing are certainly different

I am also like you, for me Meme coin has no possibility to grow, maybe if it becomes a trend it will only last for a while, it will not be sustainable, and eventually it will be forgotten, it's better to choose a real coin than a meme coin
Isn't Dogecoin like that too? they became popular with support from community development and a lot of talk from social media. all crypto assets can become meme coins if they focus too much on creating issues on social media than on the actual work of developing their products.
Currently, Meme Coin has become a strategy for every new project to develop their market and community. it all depends on the developer, whether to run the project well or just want to make a profit.

For me, there are still some meme coins that are worth of investing in, there are so many meme coins that have good potential, in the long run, there are already a lot of new projects that we have now in the crypto world, we may choose to invest on it but we should have to do research first before putting some money, we cannot still avoid some scammers.
I agree with “some meme coins that are worth of investing in”,but just suitable for short - term trading, and this trading strategy is very risky although it may be very profitable so that i dont recommend.

they are nothing like shitcoins what i mean is they are good only at the moment where they gaining money from investors but soon when they see it that they are not in a good situation like what happened now in the market they will always playing dead and doing nothing ..  See what happen to dogecoin i'm pretty sure this kind of meme will not long last especially those meme emerges after doge in my own opinion.. So i suggest never expect it can guarantee after all your efforts , its always too good to be true mate.
I like the definition of Memecoin and Shitcoin that was given here: "gateway drug for newbies to enter the game".
Shitcoins are shitcoins by definitions and memecoins are even worse than that. Please understand what's good can be done with those tokens and 99,9% nothing good can be done with them as they work only as speculation means.
Just play with it if you want to try your luck and earn a quick buck but be extremely careful.

Meme token are like bubble you can see today but gone tomorrow, if you are wise and knowledgeable trader and holder you will put your money on the project that has a longer lasting effect, theres a lot of project out there who offer security and stabilty, if I were you I will avoid meme coin because it is very risky you can lose lots of your money by putting in to it.

Most of these meme tokens will have very short lifespan. Once the corresponding 'dev' got their money, even not much, they will abandon and disappear particularly those anonymous projects. They can easily disappear and leave their investors hanging. So yes, it is better to invest on solid projects like ETH or BNB, at least you know, they will not disappear overnight and they have pretty good foundation to begin with.

Meme coin is a new trend but I don't think it will last very long. I think that Dogecoin will be the only survivor in this trend. The rest of the meme coins will be destroyed in time.

They are not generated with the name of the coin, but of the token. So it won't be of any positive value to crypto enthusiasts. There is nothing new for them, except creating a website to promote it.

I really think that meme-coins are bad for the industry to answer your question directly. They take away so much liquidity, trading volume and attention away from "real" projects which is never a good thing. I also think that, that the flood of new meme-coins that began in late april and early may is one of the main reasons for the dump that happened in mid may. I mean which institute or normal person that is not into crypto yet can take the crypto space seriously when all those stupid meme-coins have more trading volume than most normal and useful projects. Thankfully the meme-coin hype is already going down again.

I think they hope such tokens can grow in the future like Dogecoin. But unfortunately, they make tokens, not coins. So that user attraction is very difficult to obtain. If they make coins that are independent, meaning they don't depend on other platforms, they might have a great chance going forward.

If you want to ask my opinion I would say that meme coins are interesting for the reason that the masses will try to invest on them. The masses and not the cryptocurrency enthusiasts. The masses are the ones that do not have any patience to read technical analysis, they are the people who do not have the patience to read candlesticks. These masses do not want to be lectured on the mathematics of economy or finance but rather wants to check on social media for advise.

MemeCoins shouldn't be here in cryptocurrency. Because there is use of everycoin but meme coins are useless. They are being only used by influencers like , Elon musk. I think meme coins trend should end soon. People are losing their money in these MemeCoins they pump to high and after some time they dump very hard.

It's not. This type of will never be a trend due to its nature of worthless token from shit. The only traders that buying this kind of token are those who didn't have much knowledge trading and just buying purely due to FOMO. Dogecoin is already losing its hotness to the people as well as other meme coin such as SHIB. I believe those who buy on peak suffer huge loss.

I don't think so, because meme coins are only bought by people affected by FOMO...
meme coins have made a lot of people lose, especially those who bought before the bear market. meme coin trend never existed.
Yeah, meme coin trend will end soon when people will fully realize that everything happens for manipulation in meme coins. Doge is one of the oldest meme coin of crypto market and it is well known in crypto world. That's why it got pretty good pump while Elon and other group of people started tweets about dogecoin.

So many meme coin has been launched on BSC and ETH network platform but they aren't getting much attention. Meme coins are obviously bad for crypto industry. There is a high chance of getting trapped by investing in those meme coins.

Sadly, meme coins really did become a new trend in the early months of 2021, even now there are still a lot of these meme coins that are being created including those that are still thriving and those that are barely hanging on. There really isn't anything much to think about when it comes to these type of coins. No matter how they mask it with several use cases, they still look the same in my eyes; sh*tcoins. I pity those who easily get tricked by the hype of these coins and invest at the peak just to lose a lot of money. I just hope that people would wake up and see how insignificant these type of coins are.

Yes meme coin is bad for long term investment. They do not have a base selling price for their coin. And the supply they circulate is huge. Of course this explains that many of the holders have large amounts of these coins and can affect the price later.
