The meme trend is mushrooming among cryptocurrencies, many people have become millionaires in just a few days when investing in meme tokens at the beginning of its launch, but unfortunately many people don't understand that investing in meme tokens rarely lasts a long time most of the price will continue to fall after the hype is over.
don't keep the meme tokens that you believe in for too long.
True, with the current trend of coin memes for those who are lucky to be in time to enter and exit when the trend peaks must have made a fantastic profit, but the resilience of the coin mems themselves is so low, they will surely drop as soon as the hype ends which there will be a lot people who lose money from holding meme coins for too long.

With the rise of Doge Coin, there have been countless MEME coins launch on different platform.
What are you thoughts on meme coins? Are they bad for the industry? Or Are they a gateway drug for newbies to enter the game?
MEME coin can be a trend right now because of the influence of Elon Musk who often talks about it on Twitter so many people are curious and buy meme coins, but you have to know that meme coins have a very high risk and it's better you can avoid coins like that .

Indeed, this time the coin meme trend is spreading, but I personally am not really interested in this trend, because I believe the coin meme trend will not last long because the function of the koi meme is very minimal.

Some of them are bad because they are pump and dump coins some have usage for the community, it can be the gateway to discover Cryptocurrency but they should be educated on the many sides of investing in Cryptocurrency, they should understand that it's not always profit investing in Cryptocurrency there are so many pitfalls to avoid.
Meme coins started to trend after Elon hype Doge coin and made its price pump. I think meme coins are just waiting for great influencers to create huge price increase on their part. Just like what Shiba is also right now but i don't think if it will the same exactly with Doge coin. But honestly, i will not consider investing into meme coins as they have no great uses in the community and once the whole market start to be bearish again, most of then won't recover in time.

Honestly seems like with Bitcoin sideways and even the solid alts like Cardano, ETH, DOT, etc; MemeCoins simply just have the biggest chance of huge returns, lowcaps like babydoge > babyshiba > babydogebillionaire (new one) and all the rest.

How long will the trend continue for though? Who knows... Roll Eyes

meme coin has indeed become a trend, but I don't like it at all, because in my opinion memecoin has no utility and can't last long term, unless later there is a meme coin that has good utility, I will support it
What could really be the utility of a memecoin? There's no utility in that, Doge itself already went too far in that. Doge has no utility, nobody is really using that shit and yet we fail to recognize the trap that there's behind these silly attempts to make a few smarter guys rich.
Stay away from those coins unless you're prepared to lose all your money.
Must agree with your view on this that meme coins do not have utility whatsoever but somehow this bull run has created hundreds of them. The way I see it, Doge is the only meme that can survive long-term but all the other one that boomed on the back of Doge's volatility will not going to withstand the selling pressure typical of bear seasons.

Seriously stay away from all this garbage.  Once doge goes back into thesub 50 sat area all of these clones will be completely worthless.  Doge has been the 2020/21 fad that has seen its day.  These coins and tokens that are popping up are just toys created to make the "devs" more bitcoin and drop these worthless tokens on you.

Investors probably are just looking at the price pump potential and just neglect the high supply which would make it impossible for a coin to rise to a big price. Sometimes because of the hype, people tend to forget to do the basic research when investing, and thanks to them whales are making easy money while they just blindly follow.
This is exactly the sole reason why new investors are looking for coins with penny valuations and once there is a huge hype they believe that they could make a huge profit, these trends will happen once in a while and once they understand that these shit coins will not develop further and once the market goes in correction mode then those who jumped into those coins will not dare to invest again.

Nowadays a lot of meme coins are presented, not even worth it. They make a pretty high supply. It's even hard to read. I think they closed their eyes when determining the amount of the token supply. They made it the next Dogecoin. But they forget that the token they develop is based on a third party platform, so the transaction fees are higher compared to the exchange rate of the token.

nowadays so many coin memes end up in scams which means harming investors and only enriching the creators, it's just luck if some meme coins manage to enter a big exchange and get a good position in the market, if you like meme coins it's a good idea to invest in those that are already registered on major exchanges like Binance.

I think that there are good and bad. The good thing is that because of the emergence of the MEME coin, many beginners dare to invest in the coin, which was always underestimated. and the bad thing is that the risk level of the coin holder is very high. like the current DOGE whose price is very, very high compared to the basic price like in 2020, it is a very high risk if we buy it at the current price. Of course the level of risk will be equal to the level of profit. of the whole. I think with the emergence of MEME coins it will be more interesting.

The trend would easily die in a few or several months I think. Elon Musk’s advocacy of Dogecoin had started it all for others to make meme coins. However, we should not be greedy in holding meme coins for a long time. They are not designed for long-term. They can create their own concept, roadmap, etc., but still they are meme coins.

If you truly insist to invest in these meme coins, always do your own research and acknowledge the risks. Don’t buy at the FOMO, but rather during the dip. If you have achieved at least x2 (in which I did a few days ago), sell it immediately before the trend dies down.

If the team really targets the long term, whatever the name is, it will get a positive rating. But if they are only looking for a momentary profit, such tokens will quickly go out of circulation.

I accidentally went to this thread because I saw the familiar name MEME
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/meme
The same fate will be for cryptocurrency memes.
MEME was one of the first interesting meme coin projects.
This practice will never stop, because every successful project will always have a  meme coins.

What I think is people who invested in dogecoin will regret in the future when miners will be dumping the coins on investors and there will be a rapid decline in the dogecoin's price unless the meme doesn't die and new investors keep coming in, which I doubt happens.

With no real functionality, it would be very difficult for a coin or token meme to last long. Most of the token/coin memes that have popped up a lot lately are due to the high hype, the impact of the unpredictable Doge movement. but we can't generalize that what happened to Doge also applies to similar meme projects. in fact, most meme projects are just pump and dump, many are stuck with this, especially new investors who don't understand today's diverse crypto ecosystem.
There's nothing wrong with getting involved with a meme project, as long as you're prepared to take the risk, and get in or out at the right time.

Meme coins/tokens are far worse than these defi platforms.
Because almost all meme projects have no actual use case but they are relying more on how they can attract the interest from the community.
Manipulation in trading, creating fud, promising high ROI are just few of their characteristics.
I believe, a lot of these meme buyers will soon get rekt, if they are not careful on when to exit the market.
Only few of them will survive long, and definitely, one of them is the old meme coin, doge.
