Some alts are good, some are bad. Basically 'alts' means all of crypto except bitcoin - that's a huge number of different types of project, the full spectrum from solid established multi-billion $ projects with famous devs and great roadmaps and use cases - to at the other end simple outright scams and true purposeless shitcoins.
I don't like the way alts are often grouped together as if they're all the same. They're clearly not.

Investing in ICO is more risky now because majority of them failed unlike before wherein it is still profitable because of promising projects existing.

If you're going to invest in alts make sure to know the risk especially we've been experiencing long bearish trend for alts market. Its been a while since the last alts bull run and many investors are losing hope or switching to btc.

actually, there are many people want to push the price of alts up but they dont have enough money.
it's really bad because I'm one of that people. i know that feeling. It is hard to understand that alts are becoming more and more advanced and helpful to society but they are underestimated.
Chart Week and Daily show that the value of alts is still Downtrend and there is no sign of growth. I don't understand either.

we have to fully understand some things:

1 stop loss, we have to use and know how SL placed

2 Support and resistance, ofc we dont sell it on support, but on resistance

3 candlestick, candle types, wick, those are important as a confirmation

4 money management, it is all we need
