Problem is: are the new millionaires willing and capable to liquidate their crypto-hodlings for fiat and face the long arm of the taxman? I don't think so.
Personally one of the reasons I'm still 90%+ in crypto is because I do not want to pay sh*t in additional taxes. So paradoxically our enemy is helping us to do the right thing (HODL).

That is a big challenge for Bitcoin holders. We need sometimes to exchange our money into fiat, but there is a risk to be taxed. That is not fair! A strategy is to exchange only small amounts of Bitcoin into fiat, then some time later more a small amount...

That is an incentive for sure (to continue holding), but we could need this money anytime in fiat for some emergency situation for an example. But if you don't need this money in real life, to continue holding is the best option. Who invested last year made 1000% profit just by holding, very possible for an ordinary man to become rich this way with a medium investment on that time.

I think I am not yet rich for now but I have money for buying something. but soon I am sure that I will be rich person from bitcoin. I know for being rich person need patience and work and I think I can do with my own way. but if I am already a rich person, I don't want to talk about my money because I think it will be good for me to talk about my wealth to other people, I better keep in silence.

If I ever become rich because of my BTC, I have absolutely no problem paying my taxes as a law-abiding citizen. I'll still be rich, and not live in constant fear of being questioned where I found my money whenever I buy something expensive.

That's great if we become rich my friend, and in order that we become this motive I give you an advice that joining trading of altcoins can be profitable for us by means of holding different types of coin now. By the time coin is getting expensive to buy the sell value, so you can sell for a better btc price and enjoy the profit that you have for your family's future. The money that you will be having soon can be sustainable for whatever you have for your family since being rich is only the impressions seen by the people around you, but remains hidden wealth as they see it physically.

I am almost 40 and FUCK NO, i am struggling to get there in past 5 years ;/. Maybe with cryptocurrency i will have some better luck. I really want to live the rest of my life in different way as a rich matherfucker who just dont give a shit. What happened to BTC is by the way phenomenal. I remember myself buying BTC in online store some years ago at 300 USD. But who knows back then, it was just a toy to buy drugz online. FUCK ME! it was just so simple to get rich and now you need to choose from 1 000 000 shitcoins.  Huh

Definitely,i'm not a rich man since i don't even own a single bitcoin.I have an idea of joining the 21 BTC group since i hope that 21 BTC is much enough with this high price to become a rich person and enjoy a happy retired life.I don't think any one those who have made huge money and become rich with bitcoins would come and deliver here that he is rich.

You don't have to own 1 Bitcoin to become very rich. Who knows, even a fraction of a bitcoin might make you very rich in the future. You just have to make sure you hold, for a long time.

Those who have higher amount of bitcoins will never participate in signature campaign to earn few amount of bitcoins and they will prefer to make more bitcoins by investing it in any investment site or trading and people who are earning here from signature campaign would be surely be having very less amount of bitcoins as once you have higher amount of bitcoins then you will try to multiply it quick in trading instead of wasting your time by posting in signature campaign.
Honestly, I like earn Bitcoin with signature campaign than trading Bitcoin and altcoin on market. Because after long time working in that job, I understand my heath decrease many much. The main reason is my emotion always oscillate when the price of altcoin I'm trading go the way I not want.

Where are the gentleman from the good ol' days
Obviously not but I think there is a possibility we are already rich by holding our bitcoin is just that we do not know yet.

There was a guy who tossed his hd with bitcoin in trash, then it got to a landfill.
7500 BTC, worth $32.2 mil right now (in btc, plus another $4.65 mil in BCH).
If btc will go up another 10X, I am close to 100% sure that someone will sift through that landfill, It is almost like a sunk galleon with treasure.
If the guy is smart, he would do a deal with a prospecting company, whereas they do the digging and he gets 20% or so if they recover the drive.
He has to provide some evidence that the wallet still have that much, which is easy. Not sure how he can prove that he would be able to recover private keys, though. They are probably on the HD.
Any takers at $36.85 32 mil, LOL?
Here is the story:

May be we are not rich yet but we can become rich in future if we collect maximum amount of bitcoins now and save it as price will surely go higher in future and if we have save good amount of coins then there are high chances of becoming rich in future with bitcoins so I am try to buy and earn as many coins as possible now as in future it will become more difficult to get bitcoins.

Those gentlemen would be foolish to come here and proclaim how wealthy
they are.  Anyone would.  Who knows who might be lurking on this forum,
waiting for such intel.  IRS, hackers, thieves of all sort.  I hereby declare that
I am living in penury, with no more than a few satoshis to my name.  And
that isn't far from the truth.   Plus I think a lot of the people who got rich from
the early days don't post here anymore.   However,  there certainly are a number
who've gotten rich in the last year alone.

I'm liking this comment like a thousand times

If you can make 10btc a month you are rich now - that's $500,000 a year.

This is only possible for whales, and thus completely unachievable for the far majority of the people here. I make on average 5-10% per month from trading, which isn't the highest possible profit, but at least a great number for me. If I had a trading balance of like 100 BTC, I would be coming very close to the 10 BTC monthly profit margin. Reality however is that I trade with around 3 BTC at most, so I am not anywhere near that 10 BTC.

I believe someone had posted "This is it gentlemen!" but accidentally had left out the word "it" in the sentence. No one knows if the person was drunk or had just mis-typed. But it stuck and became a meme, like hodl.

Usually now seen written as "This is gentlemen". Like a spirit tribe, or way of being.

It is sometime just shortened to "gentlemen".

First "This is gentlemen" post: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2m1brp/this_is_gentlemen/

Urban dictionary entry: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=This%20is%20gentlemen

Many thanks Torque, that's exactly what I wanted to know.

Very nice. LOL! Bitcoin has coined (pun intended) lots of nice expressions and stuff... With HoDL being the best by far.

there is also bitcoRn (some professor misspelling) or professor bitcorn, LOL

RE OP, what $ number or btc number is being rich?
An average american thinks that rich is about $5.4 mil.
I doubt that many here have that much (above 1200 btc), unless they started in 2011-early 2013.

Not yet. You'll need like 20-30 Bitcoin for that in my view, and there is not many people that have so many.

I am not one of them at least lol. We'll keep waiting until it gets 10 times higher.

Obviously, we need more than BTC50 according to current price I guess.
50 * $4300 = only $215,000 not enough to stated as rich.
Bitcoin isn't a fast way to become rich, as current price is expensive, except
If you can make BTC10 per month, then you can be rich in 5 years later.
Which is impossible for layman without any skill and don't have big capital,
But, at least you can make enough money to cover daily expenses through invest on cryptocurrencies.
investment will do mate just knowing what investment type would be the most like crypto trading a lots of early birds already become rich because of this advantage knowing how the market works and how the movement being anticipated, time will come for all of us guys just keep aiming and do what is best
for all us to earn more bitcoin.
