Even if we are afraid of getting old, the fact is we have to get old one day

sir @catch.me   can you please share that secret of yours to us... hehehe......  I'm quite curios on what this secret is..... I want to stay young forever.

I'm not afraid of getting older because it is inevitable but i am afraid to die early. before i die i want to make my dream come true.

I'm in my 20's now; it would be nice to get a little older, move out of my parents house and get married; having kids, cause i really love kids then liie by the beach in the sun all day. That would be nice while getting older

I got no problems with getting older. It depends on the way how i get old

I think, fear of getting older in some way is exaggerated. People, you every single moment are getting older and older, but somehow you realize it only in such moments as now. If aging doesn't worry you most time of your life since you don't think about it, why it should worry you in such parts of your life, when you're thinking about your aging. Moreover, who said that aging is something bad? Maybe it is the only way to become younger, but in another strange sense. I mean, everybody wants to be young, but only few noticed that in old age we somehow are similar to very young. Like Nietzsche said, eternal recurrence of the same.

Time is everything. and it's inevitable.
Grow old, share your experiences with those people you love, and you'll be okay with getting old, as long as those experiences continue.

Basically Spoetnik is right. Fear of death is way too overrated.
What is life, consciousness anyway? You cannot define death if you cannot define these principles.

I guess what you mean is that you have not achieved your dreams at the age you want to achieve them, so you want to go back and do those things you wish you had done back then, trying to correct past mistakes.

You can't go back but you can stop yourself from repeating past mistakes.

For me, no matter what the age are we, what matter most are we financially success , and most of all the relationship to God

But we are getting older every time. every single moment we are getting older. Or even tomorrow we will get older.. 1 day old right? It's funny to talk to this topic like this but absolutely all of us are afraid of getting older. Because there is no permanent.

Why should we get afraid of becoming older ?Actually everyone except the ones who dies in the early stage, faces the old age stage..We should enjoy each and every minute of our life and dont get afraid of old age or even death because you know that you will surely face the old age or die one day..

Problem is when you start to get there (old age)
..you become jaded / opinionated and possibly a cranky old curmudgeon.

And YES my generation was not as bad !
I actually believe when i was a kid we were far more respectful of our elders.
We actually shut our damn mouth and LISTENED !

I would not "fear" dying of old age if that is what this topic turned into or was intended to be about.
Is this about the fear of Old Age or dying ?

I had always looked forward to old-age growing up because PEOPLE irritated the hell out of me.
I never got lonely ..i over time deliberately desired less friends.
I laugh when people cry they are lonely

I can say that I am.. particularly medical conditions that comes with it..
