There is no reason to fear getting older.  You are just wasting your time thinking about it instead of gettin gout there and living life.  Why fear what you can not control.  I am happy at my age and I live each day to the fullest.

OK, I'm not "old", but I've definitely seen the first signs of change, physically, in my life. For instance, I had a car wreck a couple of years ago, and it caused tissue damage in my knee. Now my knee hurts whenever it is getting ready to rain. That statement wreaks of my Grandmother. Also, my hands are starting to look a little more "vainy". Not too bad, but I can tell a bit of difference. I am blond, so I haven't seen any gray hairs yet, but I have noticed a change in my feet. They are suddenly really dry like my mother's used to be.

37-43 Is my guess with the issues you mention.
I have no gray hair yet but my beard has a ton.
The hand thing is something that bugs me too, sun damage is also more obvious.

if you talk with the elderly they say that it just gets better and better, but after the age of 80 or if you becoming ill, it's not funny anymore.

Scientists are actually studying what you stated as people seem to have less fear of death as they age and they think it may be biological thing.
As some one that decided not to have kids listening to friends talk about their grandparents losing their grip on reality has made me ponder what I will do when I reach this point in life. There is a old guy that I talk to every day as he walks his dog and he is on his second wife, telling me how he was on the floor for 7 hours and could not get up.
I mean stubborn bugger would not call for help but it shows you need people to support you or who knows.
One of my coworkers dad slipped in the shower and bashed is leg hard enough to smash the tiles and sliced open his toe. These things get critical as you get older and I worry that I will lose that edge of knowing I am still in this world and float into dementia. Rather pull the plug before it gets that bad and drug overdose used to be the plan.

Yeah, getting old is a bit scary to even think about. What is scary about it is that, once you are old you get the feeling or are rather reminded that you won't live forever. The more you age the more you get closer to the grave. I think that is the scary part.

No. You can influence it or change it, so why worry about it? If you are satisfied with your life and yourself then you probably wouldn't be scared of getting old(er).

Problem is, I don't think Dahhi here is satisfied with his life and himself. What he can do is to learn not to cry over the past; try to fulfill his dreams even if he is behind schedule.

I'm not scared of getting older. I'm scared of getting older and thinking, "What the hell! I've done nothing with my life!"

This is pretty much what i have with regards to your question. Growing up and looking back and seeing that you werent able to do anything in your days..

But truth be told, i actually like to dress as if im an old guy. So i guess more than being afraid, i am looking forward to it. Lol

I am not.
There is nothing I can do about it so it is better that I won't worry about it.

Who is not, I am not interested in celebrating birthdays and to be honest I never was . I am not willing to celebrate my upcoming birthday which is somewhere near mid of this April . But this is fate of every human in the world . Everyone is living just to die someday , still no one cares about it . This is called Spirit of Life .

I am afraid not to get old because that means either I have a disease/disability in my genes or I died in an early age. Nevertheless, you should not be afraid to get old because your friends will also get old and you guys can make fun of the changes in your body.

PS: Try watching the movie 'The Age of Adeline', it's a movie about staying young and living for a long time.

To getting older a part of life, i agree with Madeleine L'Engle quote: "The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been."

For me i am okay with it, as born-old-sick-death is the cycle of human Tongue Somehow getting older, tends to let you understand things better eg : Time.

I don't know if this happens to anyone else in the house, sometimes when I evaluate my life as the year runs out and I see the long list of things I ought to have accomplished which I haven't, I get disturbed and start wishing I could remain young and not grow old.

Can someone please invent a time machine Cry Sad Cry Sad

nope. there's no time machine, ever.

I'm also afraid of getting old. so what? we can't come back to childhood time. just enjoy your life and do your best, so you won't regret than you just think about time machine. it wastes time dude
