I buy alts, basically if for a dollar, then I look at the top to 50, also in the bounty there are worthwhile projects that you can get and leave for a long time.

yes I do buy altcoin whenever I have that kind of altcoin on my wallet. I always buy low and sell how to get the profit and if I have free money or excess money I will buy another altcoin who has a potential in then hold enough to get the desired profit and repeat

I don't buy coins. I usually acquire them from joining signature campaigns and social media campaigns. Buying coins of your own have equivalent risks and requires money. For those who can afford, it is better to buy altcoins now since it is cheaper than bitcoins. Also, I see a possibility that it will grow in price after some years.
If you pick the right altcoin, it will end up with higher percentage profits than holding bitcoins.
Buying altcoins as Bitcoins seemed to be trapped in a bubble now It may burst soon!

yes im buying altcoins especially altcoins that i feel have more value someday. But first of all i conduct research and deep analyzation before buying because there is a risk if you have not any little knowledge about the kind of altcoin you buy.
Yes im buying altcoins specially at this moment wherein the price is low for alts. Im just choosing the right coins and doing some research on what coin should i buy and who has a potential to increase the price in the future and is worth investing. I dont believe thats its a bad idea to choose alts instead of btc because we will never know unless we try.
I'm still holding my Bitcoin and adding some high quality alts. I like to diversify. I really beleive Alts will get a second wind after the B2X fork.
I would check out (i have an interest in) LTC, ETH, DASH, XMR, ETC, BCN, DOGE, BCC, and EMC. All great teams, whitepapers, they are solving problems, and have potential. But still waiting for the great ALT rocket to shoot back up post fork. We shall see, but it i'm pretty bullish on the ALT side and am looking forward to the up & up.
Some altcoins are really "cheap" to buy now, such as ETH, Ripple,... I think after Bitcoin fork in the middle this month, altcoins price will go up.
I bought some ETH as I feel they are the closest distant cousin to Bitcoin. Got good potential on up-side.
Yes I buy altcoins every now and then especially when it has a lot of potential. Sometimes I buy based on gut feel and just hope for the best. It really takes risk and courage to invest in altcoins and one has to do research and take into consideration the community.
