No, whenever people are asking on how I earn money I always say that it is from trading cryptocurrency, but of-course most of them won`t relate because obviously crypto is not so much known yet to people. I am proud on trading cryptocurrency though.

I have to because even if I tell people about my source of income, they cannot relate it, to make it simple, I just tell them I have an online job.
Let's just say that I live in a place where crypto is not yet popular, I know some people who have an idea but they only know about bitcoin and not that they really understand it, they just heard it.

So maybe it's better this way, let us not make things complicated for them, but eventually I can share when adoption will grow.

Not to everyone but professionally yes. Sometimes I talk with some people in politics world (I have a small network of people in one of the leading parties in our country so I am known in politics in a small scale by local people) and I do hide it from them, I do not want them to know about it, its not like its illegal or I am doing anything bad but I just do not want to go on explaining it to each and every one of them, that would make no sense at all and I would be super tired after like 10th person.

Nevertheless, my family and friends and all those close people to me know about it and actually laugh about it a lot. Back in the day when it first started they all thought it was a game currency like world of warcraft gold so when I went into it they didn't understand it and now I am mocking them and they are mocking themselves too and we have fun.
Lol that is why we wouldn’t blame those who are monetizing it, because if you are to educate everyone around you free, you will end up not even having time for your own trading. So, if it is something that keeps coming around me, instead of hiding, I will probably just slam a charge on external people that will scare them away.

Another option is probably just don’t talk about it at all, because the moment one talks about trading with people, there is no way they will not be so curious to know about it. Provided I am making genuine money and I am not stealing, it is justifiable if one just lies to them using another profession that is simpler to explain.

Yeah...i think that's the best thing to do..especially for safety and security reasons. A lot of people have the assertion that everyone in crypto has huge amounts and so if you don't stay private as much as you can, you can be attacked. And by the way, there has been cases where crypto people were attacked at their residences.
If this can be the reason then it might be identified and also will make suspicion about that person among the others, how this person ale to live without doing any jobs like that.I am not scared of telling my trading activities to anyone but not many of them are ready yet to understand what I am doing so it may take years at that time I might be a pro on this field.

Helpful words, Airbuxf. Example: let's say I have a brief discussion with an outsider about investing in general (not just about crypto-currency). The person may lack knowledge about investing and then decide to buy something. If their purchase goes down the tubes, the relationship could be soured.
Well you are right, but my reason not to tell the truth is because I'm too lazy to explain from top to bottom about Bitcoin. This space is too large and it takes much time to explain anything to someone who has no idea about this. I usually just say "internet marketing" to anybode who asks my job, it is more simple.
I also agree with you. It's really hard to keep explaining to those people who often ask about your source of living.I'm open to my family and friends about crypto trading but when it comes to other people,i'm secretive to them.I'm not into negativity,i'm just taking my life easier.

In my situation I'm a freelancer. I have some of my friends that know I'm in crypto but most don't know because I don't like to talk about it to people who don't know anything about blockchain market and blockchain tech, It's always explaining everything to these newbies and after that they start to tell that now after 20 minutes of conversation they know everything and want to invest. So i try to keep it in secret.

Consider the following three responses to the What do you do for a living? question

"I trade foreign currencies"
"I trade commodities"
"I trade Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies"

Which response do you think produces that buggy feeling?

Anybody's not knowing anything about what you have and how much it is, protects you in every regard. It will not be acceptable if someone wants to steal it, or that those who have no knowledge condemn you.
I do prefer that way to be secretive rather than to be showy on what you are doing or dealing with specially with crypto. We wont know if there's someone would be
jealous on what we are doing specially if they do look at that we are earning or possessing things which are way above from their current status. Curiosity and
suspicions would arise.

Why to be secretive about cryptocurrency you trade with? Its good for everyone if more people join and when volume is rising. I trade longterm with bitcoin, ethereum, ripple, iota, and many others. Longterm gives me enough free space for maneuvering, you need that free space for that kind of trading with so many coins. I think just some whales are secret about their trading cause they are moving big amounts, and probably they dont wish everybody to know their actions, all others are very opened and share their trading experience with others.

Cryptocurrency world takes some serious time before you are able to earn anything from this ecosystem. the main thing is if you are serious enough to make money from the internet then you also have to be serious enough to understand a different world. it's not like the regular monetary system we are used to like you pay them money and everything is done, not in this system. with cryptocurrencies as there is no government or bank then your money is at risk. and it can also affect a lot when exchanging the money with the digital world if you are not careful then you can be scammed easily. Yes, I am secretive about trading currency.

When people ask, What do you do for a living? I have a full time job, but I also trade crypto-currency.  I do not like telling them about my currency and Bitcoin activities because when I tell people about trading currency online our relationship sometimes changes. They start scheming or they think "I can do that, better than you" and I suspect they want to secretly start trading too.

Does anybody relate to this?
Its simply because others don't want to make money more than you. Cheesy

I will tell them definitely about what I am doing but will never reveal any things about how to do it.
Come on man, there is no need to drop each other and be jealous of your own friends, if you love your friends, of course you will be happy to see them succeed, and that is the opposite. I spread bitcoin trade to anyone of my friends, and I was very happy if they wanted to ask.

We have both the same characters. I also to have secrets in my trading. I buy coins and sell them at my own risk. I set up my indicators and analysis good only for me. For what? Not because I want to take advantage to others but I want to hush it so that I will not be blamed nor laughed when I lose a lot.

It's a common scenario as people have different approaches. This is why most of the people including me tend to just keep it by ourselves (you aren't responsible to share everything what you know) so there will be no issue amidst making yourself more profitable than what your get from your full time job.
The only thing one is liable to keep to oneself is intellectual properties and not general things like trading, what is trading to keep from people? If the inventor of this trading system had kept the idea to himself, would all of us ever benefit what we are benefiting now that we are all hoarding?

If the great satoshi has also kept this system of cryptocurrency to himself alone, would we have benefited anything from it. Provided the information require is all over there on the internet, it would be a privilege for me to know that I also made an impact in the life of someone, after all the market is not something we can have to ourselves alone.
