This reminds me of my friend’s child who is just 11 years old but willing to explore BTC, NFT, play to earn, etc. If I’m going to have a family one day, I would teach my kids early about Bitcoin and any other related stuff. Of course, one easy gateway in doing that was to getting them involved into play to earn games, NFTs, etc.

We are all the pieces of what we remember.
Many times I had come accoss this topic, the simplest way to understand this was easy.We need to teach the kids above 14 about cryptocurrency.Because it was not clear to the new kids below. They don’t clear with money making principles at the age of 14.They will know how to spend money with their friends.Because they are just playing kids and not a experienced traders

When they grow up and have enough awareness will be the most appropriate time. At 14, I still don't think it's appropriate to teach them finance or invest in bitcoin. They should not be taught to invest because they are not yet aware of how risky investing is. 18 years old will be most suitable when reaching adulthood and finishing high school. This is the time when children should step out of their parents' comfort zone to become adults.

Schools don't teach you real life skills, Do they teach how to get financially stable ? No! Do they teach you how to handle your business and money management ? No!
Them this are the little things we can start doing for them, don't find them toxic as they will get to see them ahead in the future, do you ever imagine you can not be with them, it's life you come and you go!

I have no problem with schools, but since they won't do this, it's best we as guidance and parents do this for them, I wrote a similar topic about this also in the beginners and help board.

My nephews know how to use their money and spend them wisely, but they have been inquiring about crypto lately because it has been popping out of Youtube ads for quite some time now, though I think this is not the right time for them to know about crypto just yet. They still have to learn a lot about the basics of money and how to keep them, before they move on to harder topics that could help them later on. It's an important topic but not so important that they should skip the basics.

Children on these days are very intelligent and curious in learning new things, so I see no reason why they won't want to spread the good news around to the kids.
Teach the but their should also be a limit to what you tell and teach them.

That's truly a very important topic because unfortunately no one will teach them such thing in the schools, so its for us to rise awareness about bitcoin and crypto and make the new generation aware about bitcoin and blokchain technology

They are still much younger than they used to be.
I want to keep my kids away from financial things. I don't want them to think about financial things at a young age.
Of course, it is not recommended to teach kids about financial things. I also never teach my kids about something they don't need to know at their ages. We must know when a proper time to teach financial things, including BTC or any crypto investment. I have the same perception as you, we only teach them about this when they are mature enough, 18+ or they passed Senior High School.

It is true that we need a successor to our crypto assets so that our crypto assets can be used in the future. therefore personally, I have thought about it well and started introducing it to cryptocurrency. although I have to be patient and slow to introduce crypto to him but I am happy to do that. The sooner you introduce cryptocurrency to your followers, the better it will be to avoid things you don't want. so for those who haven't thought of a crypto asset successor, I think it would be better if you start thinking about it now and choose who will be your crypto asset successor.

Bitcoin is achievement
Everybody have it on way of impacting knowledge of cryptocurrency to their offspring, for me, immediately my children started attending school, i will ensure that cryptocurrency should be one of their major concentrated course that will be enshrined to them, because this world has turned to digital world, so anything that deals with technology, is what i will direct my children to, so from my perspective i will embrace the factor of educating offsprings from the early stage to comprehend the rudiments of cryptocurrencies.

I do not know how I would be able to explain to them how bitcoin works and what it means when I have one. Since I do not have one right now, I guess that it shouldn't be a problem because in the end they will grow up with it.

I do support however the fact that you should teach your kids about finances from early age, and not just couple of lessons here and there, I mean like literally sit down and explain like a class all the time. Even if you do one hour per month from age 7 to age 17, that is 120 hours of finance classes and that would mean a lot and could explain so much in that time.

The dream of every successful businessman or woman is to have a good successor. you can not be in the light in which bitcoin has brought you to and allow your children to suffer because you failed to teach them the secret behind your wealth. Let your kids know that bitcoin is the surest way to financial freedom, teach them now that bitcoin is of more value than fiat currency, educate them about the importance of bitcoin to mankind, let them know that bitcoin has changed the economy of countries who saw the light in it and adopted it as a means of doing transactions.
Now that your kids are young and vibrant, be their tutor, ensure they are bitcoin oriented, save them from financial dependency, encourage them to rely on bitcoin instead of saving fiat currency that Depreciates now and then.

Our kids represent the leaders of tomorrow, let's teach them about bitcoin now that we can

No, they are not aware of it at all. They are still much younger than they used to be.

I want to keep my kids away from financial things. I don't want them to think about financial things at a young age.

I want to raise them in an environment free of financial crisis. But yes, when they study at the university level I would definitely encourage them to study bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

This is a very good idea. The kids of nowadays are almost born a genius if not one. They can easily learn and understand faster at a speed faster than the elders. If they can be enlightened about bitcoin from tender age it’ll go a long way to change their financial dependency as they’re growing up and also affect the economy of the nation positively.
Actually it's a very good idea to expose these kids to bitcoin or create awareness about it to them, however we should also avoid distracting them from their academic work or studies to avoid diverting their attention from their school work kids can be inquisitive at times , teaching them the elementary aspect of bitcoin is the most appropriate step towards their awareness about it, I believe their are a lot of resources available online that can be utilized to teach this kids because in the nearest future they will make use of it.

Honestly there is enough things to learn in finance before getting to cryptocurrency. I think schools are improving in this area, but they need to extend far beyond math into many other areas of life where it will be practically applied. Before leaving school, kids should be taught about things like credit cards, debt, pensions, loans, mortgages, interest rates, inflation and how the stock market really works. These subjects are often skimmed over by teachers and not treated in enough depth. It might take years for people to learn about these things outside of an education setting and many never learn them at all, but it makes a huge difference to the future trajectory of someones life.

Nah. A NO for me. Let them enjoy being a KID for now. As they grow up, they will soon encounter everything about how to manage their financial goals and what's their approach to fiat and crypto in general.

The only time I will interact with them about the benefits of using crypto or anything about finance and economics is when they asked me about it.

Don't get me wrong. It's not that I won't guide them but we should trust our kids to have their own approach and decision on what to do. It's not appropriate in my view to just introduce them in crypto where in the first place, it doesn't ring a bell yet in their vocabulary. They will soon ask me some questions about it.

Like what he said above, bitcoin can act as a virtual piggy bank. It's okay if we won't teach our kids for the other use of bitcoin like gaming if we want them to enjoy the outdoor world but teaching them to save in their bitcoin wallet doesn't involve too much monitoring and they can still go outside and hang out there at all times. It is not bad to spend time on your screens but as long as you are earning an income with it.

You don't waste any time compared to when you only watch youtube and play video games because there are no real benefits that you can get with them. Pandemic are still there so going outside is still restricted anyway.

It's fine to do savings in bitcoin like DCA but there is another aspect associated with it. If you learn bitcoin then you are free to go on stuff which for kids are prohibited like gambling sites etc. So if you are teaching your kid about bitcoin then you need to be aware of that side. I would say 10 years is good age when we can introduce bitcoin to our kids.

I rather die on my feet than to live on my knees
My daughter is aware and she's still quite young. She's just a pre-teenager and I showed her bitcoin and she played a few games that payed in LN. But that's it. She's too young to start learning anything about economics and get interested. These kids these days only care about shitty games with their school mates. Unless they are kinda forced in school with economy classes or something like that (which I would even agree if Bitcoin was included in those classes), they are not even interested in anything related to economics.

But another problem is that even if they are taught economics in school, they will only learn what our capitalist and socialist governments will approve. Probably they wouldn't approve an austrian like (von Mises) economy program. I would even agree that learn about both so that they could compare for themselves.

God is great
Sometimes even if children don't take things seriously expecially when it comes to learning something Important like cryptocurrency, they may not see the importance at the initial time because they are kids. But as time goes on we keep teaching them,  they won't see it boring again and they will be used to the lessons. To teach kids about bitcoin is not a bad idea at all, if you go to places like China and Japan kids are into manufacturing of electronics so with this I don't think if kids should be though about bitcoin it will be so hard for them, they will definitely pick interest with time.

~What you need to teach your child is, "don't be greedy". The era of bitcoin is when criminal cases are getting easier to do. Say your child learns bitcoin from an early age, then do you guarantee that they'll use that knowledge for something positive in the future?

Many people learn about btc from adulthood and that didn't stop those who would exploit it to their selfish interest not to do so. Whether learning from early age or as grown-up it all depends on individual mindset to do certain things. If your intention is to use btc for positive outcome, that's what it will be regardless of what age you learn about it.
