I think it would depend on how old the kids are if they are at their teens and already aware of the value of money then I could teach them about crypto,
But for young kids I would rather let them enjoy their youth than to get them into Bitcoin we all know that even adults have hard time handling it and some are stressing over it,
So I would rather let them have fun on their youth than teach them something that could stress them out.

Teaching your child about Bitcoin is just a part of the whole lesson you will going to impart to them.
The most important thing is to teach them how run business and how to properly invest his money to things that'll give him infinite profit. May it be a different type of investment of course including Bitcoin.
You don't want to focus on a particular thing like Bitcoin, you will always need to diversify.

Yes, I know my responsibility as a parent and that's already added to my list that when my children understand a lot of things then it will be the time that I'll teach about bitcoin.
But I just want to let them enjoy their childhood because that's how it should be. I've enjoyed my childhood and I want my kids to have fun just as I did when I was young too.

Cant agree more. My 1.5 years old son is crazy about cell phone and we can't use cell phone in front of him since he want it at every cost. Kids these days are alarmingly tilted towards such electronic gadgets. I will definitely teach my son about bitcoin once he grows up to 10 years, till then I would love to see him playing with toys and with other kids.

Perhaps the age of 10 years is also very early for a child, but some basics can already be explained to him. And to protect children from gadgets in our time is almost impossible, my friends have a child of 2.5 years old and he is so used to watching cartoons from the phone while eating that now he refuses to eat without cartoons. We can say that the parents are to blame, but many of my friends have this situation.

I think parents should rather focus on teaching their kids good values at an early age, than forcing them to grow up too early. Kids should enjoy their freedom in their early days and they should spend the time to form social bonds with other people and also develop their young bodies to have a healthy and long life.

We have too many kids that are spending way too much time on computers and cellphones and their pre-teen and teen years are speeding past them. Let them have a healthy relationship with their team mates in Sports and also social time with friends and then you can invest in their future, by teaching them how to make money. (A good time to start will be between 16 and 18 years... when most of the basic development are done.)  Wink

Let kids be kids.... that early development is key to a balanced future.  Wink

since Axie Infinity boom last year? yeah my kids become aware not only of Bitcoin but the whole market of cryptocurrency as well.

they even bought some altcoins(and bitcoin of course) from their earning in playing axie and mir4 .

now I can see that they are trying to learn trading and also staking as they keep asking me about those .

Indeed because kids nowadays are in a fast-paced learning through digital world. They already know how to earn some money by just playing games and they tend to spend a lot of time for it to learn. Also the social media gives a big impact for the awareness of these games and they've introduced it very well and that's why most of the kids are always asking about these games.

I would say it's good to teach your children about bitcoin specifically because it's the true power of decentralisation not the other coins roaming around here for temporary period as most of them would be dead when they are grown up replaced by others. But will not pressurized them with learning into core aspects of bitcoin.Having knowledge about something that could change their future is worth telling them but in very creative manner so they understand it and like it.

Bitcoin and crypto are volitile assets and should not be forced on kids. There are things meant to be taught kids and there are things for adults. Bitcoin is an adult education and should not be used to border kids that will be learning common sense education. The best a parent should do is to show kids his/her private keys incase of demise. Whenever they grow up, they will learn the technology invoke in their time.
It was not stated anywhere in the sentence that you should force your kids to learn Bitcoin and since teaching them about it means bordering them, Are you suppose to show your kids your private keys? Why will you border them to have the keys of what they never knew of what benefit will it be to them?

Nope I want them to explore yet the world outside as they are so young for this since there are many things needed to discover to help them grow, its early for them to teach that at the young age since they might became a geek and always put their heads in computer. Maybe if they are in right age like 16 upwards I will teach them about it but for now I will let him enjoy the life outside the internet.

Money management and financial knowledge is a must, no matter what your job is your degree or your hobby. Most of kids doesn't know anything about investment, at least teach them about money management and saving. When they already teenager, you can start slowly teach about investment... but not force him about Bitcoin only, you can explain the other investment assets e.g. gold, stock, real estate etc. It's up to your kids to choose which investment they prefer.

The dream of every successful businessman or woman is to have a good successor. you can not be in the light in which bitcoin has brought you to and allow your children to suffer because you failed to teach them the secret behind your wealth. Let your kids know that bitcoin is the surest way to financial freedom, teach them now that bitcoin is of more value than fiat currency, educate them about the importance of bitcoin to mankind, let them know that bitcoin has changed the economy of countries who saw the light in it and adopted it as a means of doing transactions.

Now that your kids are young and vibrant, be their tutor, ensure they are bitcoin oriented, save them from financial dependency, encourage them to rely on bitcoin instead of saving fiat currency that Depreciates now and then.

Our kids represent the leaders of tomorrow, let's teach them about bitcoin now that we can.

Currently, I don't have any kids yet but if I'm going to have a son or a daughter first before teaching them anything about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies I prefer to start teaching them about the basics of investing and managing their money, so by having the knowledge of how to invest and what to invest they can choose their own way between many other assets and options of course bitcoin can be an option for them so I'll start telling them about just after that, believe I belave everything should have the chance to chose his own way.

Looking at the negative side of bitcoin also needs to be considered before teaching it, especially learning from those who have also experienced failure in this space. Maybe bitcoin is freedom, but in time it is we who decide how far bitcoin freedom will go. Especially, don't talk about freedom when you trade bitcoin on a centralized exchange. Or when you always convert bitcoin to fiat just to buy a cup of coffee at a coffeeshop near your house. Bitcoin's complete freedom doesn't just come from your principles, your environment has to support it too.

Not sure I'd want to encourage them to be a business person either, since I think capitalism is floored, and by doing so your participating in a broken system, something which Bitcoin definitely doesn't solve, but does touch upon how alternatives can at least deviate from it.
I totally agree with you, but for sure it's a good thing explaining them how money works because at the end of the day we all need some money to live. I began having some interest in understanding how money works after I got introduced to bitcoin, and it's a pity that no one told me some things earlier, and at the same time I never felt curiosity about this world. This is why I don't want the same thing to happen to my kids as well. I won't push them, but in this world you must understand some things, wether you like them or not it's not important.

Not just the businessmen and women. These days all levels of people are connected to the internet and majority are aware of the cryptocurrency. Wealth is small part of life, there is more other things that need to be concentrated as a human. Bitcoin gives freedom, privacy and there is no depreciation of value and more can be added. However this isn't gonna make a human being live his life.

For this reason first thing I want to teach is the Self reliance which is a must for survival. With time it is possible to see people with money, but there might arise a scenario where we lack food. So, if he's good enough to fulfill his needs he can survive and enjoy the wealth. So it is all about self reliance than technology.

You just can't expect that your kids want to be what you like to be. This is not the time where kids come along with their fathers to learn their trade and will inherit the business in the future.

Most of them today are more interested in playing online games. I'd like to start by teaching to play Axie or whichever game will be good for earning. Making this investment enjoyable for the kid. I'm sure he will find someone to chat with about tokens and BTC one day.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin

As a successful businessman, no matter your position, reputation, or wealth, it does not guarantee that your heir will want to be your successor, there are many successful businessmen and Legends who are still having difficulty convincing their children to take the steps they chose simply because they want to be their own path.
I'll rather teach them how to invest in bitcoin as an independent asset, how permissionless it is to send it, how viable and comfortable it is to be your own bank, and finally, there's nothing wrong with opening a bitcoin wallet for them at a younger age as a gift for the future sake, it's one of the best things parents can do to surprise their children when the time is right.

Well, I guess it's easier to present Bitcoin to kids as simply another currency which is better than the mainstream one. Depending on how old the kids we are talking about, ways of describing Bitcoin may vary. To the younger kids, since we normally teach them to save, we could introduce Bitcoin to them as a better way of saving. To the older kids, a deeper explanation of Bitcoin may be given. I presume they would easily embrace it because it's always cool to be different, to be using some sort of an exclusive currency.
