Hi- I was told that here is about a 10% reward in staking ark. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

It's not as simple but, long answer short yet that's true.
How this actually works...
(1) You vote for a delegate, your ARK amount is the weight of your vote.
(2) The delegate you voted is "mining" (called forging) blocks and they share their rewards with their voters, based on the weight of their vote
(3) The returns are not fixed, but they're close to 10% for at least the last 6 months.

You can visit this site and check the returns you get from each delegate: http://calculator.reconnico.com/

Thank you.

I set up my wallet, sent ark  thens voted for a delegate with 1 ark -

is this all I need to do?

Thanks

Yes.

I have no doubt on Ark's team, but volume is something to concern. In crypto, people tend to chase hype in newer projects.
Doesn't that mean we have lots of hodlers ! Grin

Anyways, publicity is what will bring volume. And they are doing that part. v2.0 will surely bring more volume.

I believe what will bring more volume (and more "ask") will be projects that are built on top of ARK, like for example Blockport and Cesirae.
Note: I'm not sure if Blockport is built ON TOP of ARK's system or if it's using some of its features in some kind of a collaboration.
Blockport seeks to build a hybrid-decentralized architecture for their exchange that will be able to communicate with various blockchains thanks to Ark's ACES. They will use ACES to transfer value between blockchains which i think will benefit both projects. Blockport will implement their hybrid-decentralized exchange between Q4 of 2018 and q1 of 2019.

Coin with high volume are usually using a paid market maker and the volume is fake, the Ark team prefer organic natural growth instead of fake hype and volume

You're kind of right but the problem with volume is that many top coins have fake volumes on exchanges, do you remember that OKex story about washtrading/fake volumes? Anyone did something to make it right? Nope

The May 2018 GitHub development bounty program has ended. We'd like to thank everyone who contributed, and would like to invite many more to get involved - it's never to late to join (scroll to the end for instructions on how to get involved).

It wouldn't be a bad idea to make a short (like one month-long?) paid signature campaign after Core v.2 is released and the team is ready to reach out for new partnerships.
I believe their targeted customers are outside the forums though, more likely CEOs or startup companies found in exhibitions.

I don't think that a paid signature campaign would be useful for them, like you said their target are CEOs and developers.
Anyway, congrats for finally get that beautiful on the Apple store

When v2 is deployed, hardfork is needed, there's nothing users need to do, delegates will take care of everything.
