It is indeed very unexpected that Japan could lose to Iran. But if you look at the FIFA rankings, Iran and Japan are not that different. So Iran being able to beat Japan is perhaps not so surprising. But I personally am still surprised by this result.

And now Iran will face Qatar in the semi-finals. And South Korea will face Jordan in the semi-finals. And my prediction is that Iran will advance to the final against South Korea. And maybe Iran will be the champion in the Asian Cup this time.

It was only because an unintentional mistake was made by the Japanese defender that the referee had to blow the whistle as a sign of a foul. I admit that Japan was changed the strategy on 2nd half so their defense is a bit weak. I don't know for some reason, but if they played like what they did on the 1st half, I am sure they can create a more score, and not conceded in the 2nd half.

Qatar vs Uzbekistan
It's the AFC Asian cup quarter-final match going to be crazy. The match is near to the end time. Qatar and Uzbekistan both have one score. Both performance looks kind of same. But the Qatar goalkeeper save Qatar today lots of time. Before the starting this match I thought that Qatar going to be easily win in this match, But Uzbekistan footballers are also did great on attacking and defensing today.
At the moment I thing match will going to be tie-breaker today. But in this case if the match goes to tie-breaker shoot out then I think there will be high chances to win Qatar in this match cz their goalkeeper is better from the Uzbekistan.

Before this tournament started Japan was through an several friendlies matches with fantastic results and they were successfully to beat several European countries just like Turkish and the latest is Germany and impressive results from Japan makes people placing them as the first favourite team for the trophy but surprisingly Japan was unable to performing well just like they showed on friendlies matches this because on group stages Japan only can able to finish at second place under Iraq because they got 1 loses at that time

When Japan fight against Bahrain i still considers them as strong team in this competition but unfortunately Japan journey have to ended at quarterfinal today because they were lost dramatically from Iran and after this result Iran next opponent at the semifinal is between Qatar or Uzbekistan and the match is still on going with Qatar leading the game 1-0 from own goal Uzbekistan goalkeeper Yusupov and currently still half time and i can see both teams looks equal because Uzbekistan too can able to threaten Qatar defensive lines several times but Qatar defender players still solid to managed their defense and on the second half we will see whether Uzbekistan can able to equalized the scores or not but i feel like this match will belongs to Qatar

And yeah, this match belongs to Iran.  As we previously expected, Iran will put up resistance and Japan must not take its opposing team lightly.  and in the end, Iran overthrew the regular champions of the Asian Cup. In this match, the Iranian National Team really put up a very interesting resistance. they had 17 total shots, 4 shots on target, 1 big chance. Meanwhile for Japan, in this match they didn't get many chances. Japan only had 8 total shots, 2 on target, 2 big chances. In fact, Japan should have been able to maintain their lead when they broke into Iran's goal in the 28th minute.  However, in the second half, Iran was able to equalize and make it 1-1, unfortunately the Japanese defense committed a violation in the penalty box area in the extra time. Iran, makes very good use of it. and yeah, congratulations to Iran for qualifying for the next round.

Referring to my prediction, the result of this match is as estimated with 3 goals. however, regarding team options, my prediction was wrong.  for the next match, between Qatar Uzbekistan. this game is just starting to get underway. My estimate is that Qatar will win the match over Uzbekistan. well, let's wait for the final result.

Iran 2 - 1 Japan

 

I confess that I am very shocked by this result, Japan was a team that managed to surprise in the last world cup and in this world cup they are being a disaster, they lost in the game against Iraq and today they lost in the game against Iran. Japan started well, but they focused a lot on making long distance shots, I don't understand why they did such a thing instead of playing like they did in the world cup, Japan was the first team to score a goal in this game, which even seemed like they could win the game, since Iran did not pose much danger to Japan's defense. but Japan relaxed and Iran started to dominate the game, Iran started to put a lot of pressure on Japan's defense and as a result Iran wasted many opportunities to score a goal.

the 1 half ended with Japan's victory but with great pressure from Iran on Japan's defense, it was a bad sign that if Japan didn't change in the 2 half then they would concede a goal and the game could have another path that would be disadvantageous for Japan, and that's what happened in the 2 half, Japan didn't change anything in the 2 half and Iran continued to put pressure on Japan's defense, until Iran managed to score a goal and the game was tied, it was something that would happen sooner or later, but the most It was terrible to see Iran score the second goal and it was disallowed, it was a very serious sign that Iran would score the second goal, Iran put more pressure on Japan's defense and wasted some good opportunities to score the second goal and win the game

until just when the game is close to the end, the player from Japan makes a very bad tackle that leaves the player from Iran to fall and the referee scores a penalty, it was bad for Japan that they conceded a goal right near the end and it is very humiliating that they lost like that. One thing is clear to me: Iran played better, and this World Cup has had a lot of fouls, I don't know why the Asians are very violent in their games. It looks like they are fighting instead of playing football. It seems like they don't mind getting hurt between them. I think the referees should be very tough in this competition

Japan is a strongest national team in Asia and has highest ranking as well as very excellent form but it is before this Asian Cup. They started to show problems in the group stage by a first match against Vietnam, then lost to Iraq. They likely have systematic problem and in the quarter final match against Iran, Japan actually let Iran created so many opportunities in the second half.

It is bad for lost at very last minute of injury time but in general, Japan deserved to lose in the second half because Iran played better.

Now we will move from a predictive final match between Japan vs South Korea to Iran vs South Korea.

Yeah Japan was one of the favorites to win the Asian cup in this year, but I kinda doubt that after the group stage.
Japan never clean sheet at all since the beginning even when they are faced a weaker team = they are weak in defense.

This is really surprising, Japan was the favorite to win the Asian Cup but no one expected them to be eliminated so quickly.
The goal at the end of the match resulted in a tragic ending for the Japanese national team. This is not about winning mentality but in my opinion Japan was unlucky today.

That's football, lots of surprises happen and in the match I saw that when Japan was 1 goal ahead in the first half, it made it easier for them in the second half, but in fact that wasn't the case and whatever happened, what Iran did was worth appreciating, they played really Extraordinary.

Oh, God! Iran sent Japan home in the minute of injury time after the goal scored from the penalty spot by Jahanbakhsh went into the net. I still can't believe that Japan, which is so strong and even the highest candidate to win the ASIAN Cup this year, had to be eliminated before the semifinals and this is a very disappointing result for the fans. Looking at the game between the two teams, it is clear that it is very balanced and here Iran has a winning mentality that is capable of overthrowing Japan.

It's a shame that we won't see Japan in the final and it looks like something undesirable could happen in football. Iran proved they were not afraid at all when facing Japan and they continued to attack until finally they had to be fouled in the penalty box. Well, congratulations to Iran for successfully qualifying for the semifinals and they have to wait for the winner of the Qatar vs Uzbekistan match which will take place in a few hours.

Iran will play without Mehdi Taremi because of the red card in the last match that's why Japan is the favorite today it was a huge loss for Iran and there are no reliable players in the attack line, Iran only has a chance to win if they can hold Japan to a draw so through a penalty shootout the chance of winning becomes 50:50 but the problem is that Japan will not let this match end in a draw because this is their chance to go to the semi-finals.

I have placed a bet on Japan to score in the first half maybe they will try to get a goal in the first half because they still have enough power, meanwhile in the second half it will be more difficult. Anyone who wants to bet on both teams to score should be more careful because Iran is doubtful about scoring a goal but if Mehdi Taremi is in the line up maybe the bet makes sense.

Normally people will favorite Japan we know there are many reasons for that but this time Iran is truly one of the strong teams in this tournament and Japan will not be able to win easily, Iran will rely on Mehdi Taremi in the attack who have scored 3 goals so far and  he is a FC Porto player the speed and accuracy do not need to be doubted, while Japan will rely on Ayase Ueda who have scored 4 goals the only weakness of Japan is in defense because they always conceded in every game. who will be the winner? let's just wait.

both are strong teams, but I would probably bet on Japan winning or both teams scoring. Even if Jelang wins against Iran, I don't think it will be by more than 2 goals. Iran played an excellent game with their hard work reaching the quarter-finals. It won't be easy for Japan to win.
but I'm sure Japan and Qatar will overtake Jordan and South Korea in the Semi-Finals. a dramatic victory by South Korea or Australia is truly thrilling. they also fought very hard.

South Korea managed to beat Australia, and Son Heung Min was the player who managed to score a goal in extra time and his goal managed to take his country to the semifinals to face Jordan. My prediction is that they have a very good chance of getting to the final.


Japan must first overcome Iran and the Iranian team has the ability to damage Japan's target of getting to the final and winning the Asian Cup, and Japan in the semifinals if they succeed in beating Iran will face Qatar or Uzbekistan and my prediction is that Qatar has a better chance of getting to the semifinals.
The final will probably be between South Korea vs Japan, but we have to wait for the results of the match.
Japan is very superior in this tournament, but Qatar as the defending champion who still has a chance to reach the semifinals will not be an easy opponent for Japan because the strengths of the two are not much different.

Iran vs Japan.

A match that looks like it will feature quite an exciting battle between the two teams. This quarter-final match is a crucial match for both teams. even though the Japanese national team is actually above Iran in the FIFA rankings, it is not an easy matter for Japan to overthrow the Iranian national team in the match which will be held today. moreover, in the group phase Japan lost the match against Iraq. which means that Hajime Morisayu, who manages the Japanese national team, must not underestimate his opponent in this match.

On the other hand, the Iranian national team played their group C phase matches quite smoothly. The national team coached by Amir Ghalenoei advanced without any obstacles that were quite burdensome for them. except during the round of 16 match against Syria, Iran had to beat their opposing team through a penalty shootout. Today, Amir Ghalenoei has prepared his team to challenge quite tough opponents, namely Japan. referring to the betting market, bookies favor Japan in this match.
