Half Time: Australia vs Indonesia
Australia has won 2-0. 1 goal because of OG Baggott and Australia's second goal came in the 45th minute, the final minute of the first half.
The Indonesian team played well even though Indonesia was 2-0 behind. The game against Australia was better than when played in the last match against Japan.
In the second half Indonesia had to improve its attacking pattern. Playing long passes is not a solution because the Australian players have a much larger body size than the Indonesian team players.
In my opinion, the courage of the Indonesian players to take shots is good. Anticipation when they lose the ball must be improved again.
There is still a chance for Indonesia to score a goal if I look at Indonesia's game in the first half.
Indonesia had to accept 4 - 0 defeat to Australia and they had to be able to accept the fact that they were returning home early from the AFC competition, this was the umpteenth failure and Indonesia had to be able to learn from failures like this.
Now Australia can easily qualify to enter the quarter-finals and only need to wait for the completion of all the top 16 matches to be able to see the next schedule for the quarter-finals.
But this defeat really made many Indonesians feel sad and they felt disappointed because Indonesia had wasted golden opportunity to enter the top 16.
It just that Australia is not weak team and can easily be beaten, this defeat should have happened and it could have been predicted from the start that Indonesia would definitely come under pressure that would make things difficult for them.
Even though Indonesia lost badly to Australia, I saw that the performance of the Indonesian national team in that match showed the development of the game. I appreciate the performance of the Indonesian National Team. In terms of ball control, it is better than the three matches in the group stage.
In this match, the players were braver in playing and holding the ball. Indonesian players also put pressure on Australia, who did not play like Iraq and Japan. However, the improvement in the game was not accompanied by a good strategy carried out by Shin Tae-yong. However, it must be acknowledged that Australia is superior in all aspects to Indonesia. In terms of quality, Australia is ranked much better in FIFA than Indonesia. Apart from that, the Australian players also have superior experience to the Indonesian players.
