Frank, it's about time to get some complex update about future of company, last one was more than 6 months ago.

so ... what now? It took 2 days to assemble chips into PCB in Rockminer ... Friedcat has chips for 2 weeks now and nothing?
Ok, I'll bite: Would you prefer if there were just streams of intermittent "non-updates"? That friedcat would just log in and post meaningless updates and rough approximations every week, only to comeback to retract and provide new approximations? Because that's what other ASIC companies do and their customers seem to be "happy" with it. Those who've been around long enough know that he'll post when there is something substantial to post. You've seen the documents/pictures and read posts from third parties, draw your own conclusions from there.
Now with that said, I do agree that BitFountain would largely benefit by having a larger staff who could deal with these things but then they'd have to do background checks and etc. They would need proper procedures in place to ensure that their trade secrets aren't leaked. Will BitFountain have to deal with these issues eventually? They better if this project/business is meant to be long term. Right now, they're focused on chips and deployment and not PR. For now, it appears that the vast majority of the shareholders (myself included) are content with that.

Yeah well, this wouldn't help if Havelock goes missing, for whatever reason. We should encourage them to keep ASICMINER updated with a current list of shareholder's email addresses and preferably Bitcoin addresses.

Do you guys think this could also bring collateral damage to havelock as a platform? (in form of more attention by authorities because of legal issues)
Don't want to paint things too black but since the bitfunder-case last year i got quite cautious with these exchanges.

We need to make sure Havelock keeps on providing lists of the current shareholders to AM in case of some kind of breakdown/closure/freeze
yea...i really liked the proposal of binding accounts to wallet addresses recently.
not sure what has become of it, but it seemed like the best way to prevent any chaos in case of a shutdown.
Well havelock posted in the other thread that they only allow companies whose shares they control to list on the exchange so that case should not happen again

For the record. Havelock Investments never offered NEOBEE or COG.
NEOBEE was a pass-through Fund.
COG was listed elsewhere and their shareholders requested to be listed on our exchange.
We no longer offer pass-thorough Funds unless the direct shares are managed directly by us as we do with the ASICMiner Fund.

The ALC fund on Havelock is very distracting. Every time I look for AM's price, I'm shocked by a price of 0.14 BTC, only to find out that spot is now being occupied by ALC... phew!

are rockxie and canary the only buyers we know as for now? those are test chips right? do we know the size of the first batch, if it has been sold yet?
From "public clients" we also know about Wasp ... but ... we don't know about others, we don't know about size of "test" batch, we don't know about size of next batch, we don't know if this test batch was sold or give away for free, we don't know about performance, we don't know on what is ASICminer working now, we don't know if there was board-meeting about recent !huge! concerns, and also we don't know why this week dividend wasn't distributed. This is AM great PR.
Seems like Jutarul is only one from board who cares about PR and shareholders. Others doesn't give a shit about us. Sad.

Canary, how are the tests with your sample chips going? Just looked through your post history and did not see much. In fact... what are you doing with chips at all? You were a very successful re-seller... are you getting into board manufacturing? Or are you thinking of somehow trying to re-sell chips... I know several people got samples, but I only have a window into what rockminer is doing.
Ha, I believe he put them on a shelf and enjoys looking at them once in a while. I fear, he isn't able to test them. But he could very well sell them to smaller customers who intend to build their own boards, since AM is releasing the specs. And there have been groupbuys with several thousands of Avalon chips last year!
