For me it looks like AM is not willing to issue profits as dividends to the shareholders. So they set up another company, which is maybe RM, holding 80% of RM's shares. Then they sell the chips to RM in a lower price, which means lower dividends as AM's shareholders would expect. Then the margin would be totally at RM's side.

======Everything above is only my assumption.======

Unless there are other companies than RM are also purchasing chips from AM, then I would highly doubt there is benefits tunnelling behind the scene.

Why do people assume FC is out to pull a fast one?

Must I remind everyone that after collecting 20,000 btc during IPO, AM proceeds to pay out 200,000 btc in dividends alone.

Financial reports are public and there is no trickery going on.

And what makes you assume RM is the only customer for gen3 chips? I assume every asic hardware manufacturer will be using AM's chips soon.

Then that would be great. I hope AM is willing to sell their chips to every miner producer at the same price.

Why would they do that?  A company can set a price for their products as they see fit.

If company A wants to buy X chips and company B wants to by 2X chips, AM could give a better per chip price to company B (volume discount).  Or since company B is a preferred buyer, then they could get a better price.

Yes, this is true. I would say that the "same" price should be rephrased to "fair" price. What I mean is that I hope there is no "unfair" trade behind the scene.

What makes rockminer distinct from the myriad of other board makers?

Spooling up to run application specific chips is far more onerous than designing and fabricating boards from off the shelf components. Way too much competition in that space IMHO.

I believe the price of AM just went back down to 0.6 BTC due to a lot of people selling some of their AM shares in order to diversify their portfolio with ROCKMINER shares. Let's see how this plays out!

rofl the more i look at their thread the more im thankful i didnt invest yet.
like they say, when i doubt, don't.

+1, I agree, this IPO was not thought through thoroughly.

In spite of what people may surmise FC could do there are members on the board who are armpit deep in stock and would find it objectionable to do anything that undermines their interests.

^This and the fact that they'll be giving the PCB layout for everyone to use.

Look at how many chips the douches unsavory types at Avalon sold to the community for Chris' Klondike design. We're talking thousands upon thousands of miners, many more than what vertically integrated companies can produce.

The logistics are much better handled by lots of assemblers than just the one, and the profits are in the ASICs anyway.

That rockminer IPO is something else didn't even launch to complete itself  Cheesy

Wonder who bought all the shares in Pre-IPO only a 36 hour old thread

probably the same group of persons that "bought" the other 60k shares  Wink

60k shares are held by rockxie & company so nobody bought them.

And it is not like some random shady company asking for funds out of the blue. This is a verified reseller of AM hardware.

I guess were all stuck in AM again ha-ha but that should mean we have a guaranteed dividend for chips in May when they ship them to Rockxie so some nice news at least thats how it would work.
Rockxie Pays AM for Chips and we get a dividend
Then Rockminer pays out the dividend from those chips to its holders

Dividend
Initial dividend: depends on the chips delivery date of ASCMINER ,in May around.
Total Amount of Dividend: the profit after deducting the profits retained within ROCKMINER.
Time and Frequency for Dividend: Dividends will be paid out on Wednesday every two weeks.
