Again we are left to interpret what came from the reddit and Chinese forum posts so take it for what it's worth. The information of true value will come from the horses mouth.

From there we are led to believe all of batch 1 was accounted for and rockxie was solely or partially the recipient of that batch. I suggest that if the vast majority went to rockxie then rockxie is the source of revenue to this point. That revenue could come in many forms including mining equipment. Now within those same reddit messages is an endorsement for rockxie claiming he is on AM board of directors. If this is the case one would assume the relationship between FC and rockxie would extend some professional courtesies and not treat him merely as a customer. Therefore to assume revenue would look like a tradition sale of product IMHO is probably a bad assumption.

Would rocksie delivering in March equal "mass delivery"? Or are we talking sample chips quantites?
>>>
The sample miner will be availble in April and the chips would be AM's Gen3.
specification: AM gen3 chips, 40nm, 1TH, 500W.

Possibly chips went to rockxie on consignment. I don't see that as any major obstacle for long term investors if that were the case.

What were estimates? Six weeks from tape out to delivery?

IIRC the manufacturers should get sample chips in the end of March, so ... now. But I don't see any income from chips sales yet in public known AM addresses, maybe sample chips are for free ? And I don't know if we can recognize this sample-round as "we're still on track ! mass delivery in March !". Mass delivery ? I hope and believe™, let's see.

I would like to see some update from manufacturers, or board, or Friedcat. This silence is horrible PR attitude.

EDIT : Please note, that we investors are waiting almost 1 year for next gen from Gen1. It is horrible burden at least for me.

Share price appears to be holding up in the quiet. I envision some notional clock ticking down from when we believe tape out occurred to the pronouncement "It's alive..... Igor it's alive!".

What were estimates? Six weeks from tape out to delivery?

On another note these Coincraft A1 counterfeit allegations aren't good news if true for the asic maker scene. I am curious if it's accurate how it will effect the market in the long run. Wondering if it will lower the Gh/$ bar.

Unfortunately I believe for some instances someone impartial needs to play bank and hold funds in escrow. Some institution whose reputation is unquestionable and has the ability to demonstrate transparency to the parties involved that the BTC is safe and accounted for. An instrument that can act on matters of fairness and ensure that both parties uphold their agreement.

For example an exchange would only have access to their fees but the funds rest with the institution for transfer.

Interestingly enough BTC Guild recently decided it will no longer offer pps mining as it exposes them to a risk they are unwilling to carry with the value of BTC.

Quote
Due to PPS being unrelated to blocks being solved, a PPS pool is required to keep the hot wallet balance significantly higher than a non-PPS pool. This means the risk of an attack on the pool draining the hot wallet is significantly greater. With the value of Bitcoins these days, paired with the shrinking of pools as larger private farms coming online, the variance of PPS (on the pool side) has become too significant for BTC Guild to continue offering it with the added risks it requires.

Now back to our regular programming. FC sightings? No.

Perhaps the next big "money maker" with Bitcoin then is security development.  I bet the potential market share for that is gigantic.

There most certainty is a market for that
All said and done though cold storage of the funds is what most services can do at low costs since Bitcoin does most of the work for you
The real security improvements need to be on hot wallet funds and ease of use

Any Bitcoin industry that promotes the stability of BTC trade thus increasing the general trust in it's use is going to pay big dividends. Once an organization establishes itself as providing these services, IMHO all credible BTC related industries will demand their services in order to assure their clients they maintain the highest of security standards. Once there is a greater sense of trust in the system, a greater amount of funds will find their way into BTCs capitalization and ultimately to those who can be trusted. .

IMHO the only reason BTC lost moment in it's upward rise is the spoiled apples that took advantage of an unregulated system for their own personal gain. When BTC is protected by a system that relies on an independent non-governmental organization's credibility and profitability for providing such a service then it can flourish and lose the black eye these discrediting assholes have and are giving it.

General security needs to be improved tenfold.

Couldn't agree more. There also needs to be more transparency on how BTC is being handled when entrusted to people to handle it for you or it will only end up in wallets at low value.

Security should have matured with BTCs rise in value. I struggle with those who sat back reliant on systems that safeguarded it when it was pretty much undesirable and never invested more of a small percentage of their new found wealth into ensuring it's security. .

Still hoping AsicMiner Gen3 will be great success for shareholders though!!

Why are you worried about moving shares and the success of Gen3 if you lost all of your shares... did you get them back? Or...excuse the accusation... were you simply trying to tank the share price on havelock so you could by more shares?

Mostly just wondering about what the situation with you and Havelock is.

Time to move on, out of bitcoins.

Welcome back ! Smiley Life out of Bitcoinland is boring eh? Smiley

Actually, a month has gone by and bitcoinland looks a pretty grim place "looking in" now. Theft after scam after hack, week after week. Depressing :-(

So yeah, moving onto other things but still have to manage what BTC I have left.

Joe public will never get involved in bitcoin whilst people are having their coins stolen constantly, whether its by an exchange, a bitcoin bank, malware, hack etc. Just won't happen. General security needs to be improved tenfold.

Still hoping AsicMiner Gen3 will be great success for shareholders though!!

yes, that's right, change the address that is holding the shares.

I'll try your suggested method, thx Smiley

sorry if its been asked and answered a dozen times before in this thread but its hard work going through 900 pages ....

how do I go about updating the bitcoin address in FC's spreadsheet for my AM direct shares?

Do you mean that you want to change the address that is holding the shares?

You could construct a message like this:

Quote
Please transfer ## shares from AAAAAAAAAAAAA to BBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

and sign it with the private key of AAAAAAAAAAAA.

Friedcat should treat it exactly like a completed sale and transfer the shares to the new address (BBBBBBBBBBBBBB).

He has been doing all share transfers on Wednesday mornings prior to paying dividends.
