Now all I need is a conversion for this ASICMINER passthrough... I dunno if there's enough demand for that service though. https://litecoininvest.com/security/ASICMINER1K-PT

Bitcoin is new, makes sense to hodl.
FC could be like Netflix CEO. Despite going against investor favor, at the end of the day, he's right.

Then when the AM100 goes low enough, ppl will arbitrage the AM100s to sell into AM1s, depressing all of AM. You did not think this out.

Example #3: You have 1000 AM100 shares, but you want to convert them to AM1 shares. Transfer 1050 AM100 shares back to the issuer, and email us according to the "AM100 > Direct" directions below.[/i]

TAT you've just added an extra 5% as a burden onto AM100 holders. I only have 200 of the AM100s but I'm sure there are others who have been buying the 100s trying eventually capture its full value as full shares. Now they will be sellers in the 100's, so I'm not buying anything yet to complete my full shares.  This was stupid.

Jbest, things DO move very quickly in new tech like bitcoin.  Still, though, you have to wonder why people don't take a second to form more complete rational thoughts and criticisms.

Yeah I know that but they are still a business. It seems people here expect them to "keep up with the Jones'" rather than think to the future a provide something that makes them obsolete.
The ASIC Cube was something to make people happy until their plans for the future come to fruition and, like I stated, everyone was happy about it for all of 12 hours. Then, it's back to "why isn't FC updating us?" even after a dividend increase from last week.

I'm just as bad because I refresh this forum every 15 minutes to see if anything has changed but I don't flip out every 15 minutes when it hasn't.

OFFER EXTENDED, BETTER INSTRUCTIONS ADDED

G.ASICMINER & AM100 (TAT.ASICMINER) Conversion Offers
(Limited Time Only, Ends Nov. 22, 2013)
With Bitfunder blocking US citizens, requiring ID verification, and not allowing exports unless you have 250 shares, we know some of you feel stuck and are looking for options. Below are two new, temporary services we are offering.

We have decided to offer a limited-time service to convert your G.ASICMINER shares into AM100 (Havelock), AM1 (Havelock), or Direct Shares. These are fee-based services that require 5 microshares in fees per whole-share (or you can use whole shares to cover the fees for larger conversions).

There is no fee to convert G.ASICMINER to AM100 (fractional shares), but please note that AM100 shares carry a 5% management fee on dividends.

Additionally, we will be offering AM100 or TAT.ASICMINER shareholders a temporary service to convert their shares into AM1 or Direct Shares for the same fees.

Example #1: You have 10 G.ASICMINER shares, but you want to convert them to AM100 fractional shares. Pay no fees, simply push your G.ASICMINER shares to TATInvestments and email us according to the "G.ASIC > AM100" instructions below.

Example #2: You have 10 G.ASICMINER shares, but you want to convert them to direct shares. Push the 10 G.ASICMINER shares plus 50 TAT.ASICMINER shares (or AM100) to TATInvestments, and follow the "G,ASIC > Direct" instructions below.

Example #3: You have 1000 AM100 shares, but you want to convert them to AM1 shares. Transfer 1050 AM100 shares back to the issuer, and email us according to the "AM100 > Direct" directions below.

The following limitations apply:
1. You must initiate each conversion request before November 22, 2013.
2. Due to many requests, your migration might take anywhere from 1-9 days to process.
3. Beginning Nov. 22nd, these temporary services will be discontinued.
4. We can make no guarantees that Bitfunder or Havelock will not impose additional limitations on trading in the future.

You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. No wonder FriedCat doesn't post here. One minute ASICMiner is amazing and the next, roadkill. Pathetic children.

Seriously? Have you ever listened to an earnings call for an exchange-traded company? The analysts absolutely destroy executives during the Q&A sessions on a regular basis. Being an executive involves being thick-skinned and rational.

If you are seriously entertaining the idea that FC avoids the forum because he's scared of a little criticism, you desperately need to re-evaluate your confidence in him. "He doesn't post because he's too busy to ever check in" doesn't sound great either, but it's a lot more palatable than "he's too scared of the trolls".

Again, children.
It has nothing to do with him being scared. Why the hell would he be bothered? We get good news one day everyone is happy, divs go up slightly. Later that day there's no new news... "Stone him!".
I will agree with you that CEO's get chewed out at shareholder meetings, only issue with that it they usually happen once a year not every thirty minutes on a forum. This community has become so accustomed to things moving at light speed we forget how it actually works.

Do you have an example of this? I would love to see Apple or Intel in such a situation.

I don't think they are relevant, the cartoon cat is called "copy cat" from what I saw on the pic.

If you want accurate translation, "fried cat" should be translated as "煎 猫",but here in China everyone calls him "烤猫" which should be translated as "baked cat" or "grilled cat"...

OT question here.
i'm working on a project and asked myself how "friedcat" looks in chinese letters.
could anybody help?
I don't want to spam the chinese subforum.
烤猫
thanks, i'll return this favor when project is finished.

by the way after googling this i see a huge amount of pics for this little fella   Grin:

Google brings up loads of images of the same orange cartoon cat. Is this where FC got his name from?
i chime in, is this the original friedcat?
would be really helpful to know...
