Not sure if one security merits it though but could be handy for a bitcointalk area
It does, for the simple reason that people are posting here in this thread, instead.

This is a 386 pages thread, which makes no sense at all.
It should have been closed and opened as a full subforum long ago.

THIS.

Longest thread I ever COMPLETELY read was 96 pages, and it wasn't on this forum. People are at each other's throats here, any thread longer than 5 posts is guaranteed to have at least a few insults or an argument tossed around.

Almost every single subforum here has threads that are too long to manage. Nobody has the time to sift through 400 pages of posts on every topic they're curious about.

Learning the troll avoidance button :)
Just posting another reminder for those that have questions for friedcat. A few of us have started to compile questions for submission. Please keep in mind that it is very possible he may not answer some/any questions but would still like to submit them, on behalf of the "minority shareholders."

The plan is to submit these questions on a monthly basis.

Use "Q/A for ASICMiner" for the subject line.

Needs a redirection
On the Point of a Sub-forum it is a lot of pages
Not sure if one security merits it though but could be handy for a bitcointalk area
Unless you meant an official website and/or blog outside of the bitcointalk forums

This thread has derailed to btc-e trollbox where everyone keeps on speculating about 0.0001 changes in asicminer passthrough prices. If people want to fill up 3 pages with mindless chatter about this then they should start a thread about this.

Mausini is actually right. This thread has derailed to btc-e trollbox where everyone keeps on speculating about 0.0001 changes in asicminer passthrough prices. If people want to fill up 3 pages with mindless chatter about this then they should start a thread about this.

It makes sense to discuss the share price and some of the posts which actually calculate why should a share be worth something make sense. It also makes sense to discuss things about asicminer. What doesn't make sense is to keep on babbling about slightest changes in the share price and saying "oh I should have bought more" or "It's awesome I bought more" or "I sold shares that's great". No one cares about this crap.

So why dont you sell some shares now and buy at 2.3 if you believe it's going to fall?
I don't know about him, but I don't do that because I'm not sure it will fall: I can afford to buy some shares at lower rates, but not at the risk of not being able to buy them in case the rate didn't actually drop.
Hence I'll invest spare money into that, but I won't risk selling my current shares.

I don't know if this has been said already, but my suspicion is that friedcat is cutting back on the TH in anticipation of the upcoming difficulty increase.  Throttling back now for 24 hours could help increase profits over the next difficulty period if difficulty is kept at reasonable levels.

No because if network TH suddenly rises then the adjustment of difficulty (that looks at last 2015 blocks blocks generated) will just compensate, it does not look at the last 2 weeks, it looks at the last 2015 blocks generated

The observed drop of AM hashrate can only mean that the company is doing something. And I'm always happy with AM doing something:)

If Friedcat filled a Super Soaker with gasoline, sprayed down the datacenter and lit it on fire, that'd make you happy?

Yeah, probably. I invested in the team behind friedcat/ASICMINER/Bitfountain, not in the 20/30TH. If they were to all-of-a sudden become irrational, you may as well burn my investment anyway.

What's with the crazy drop of network %?  Right now he has 16% with 22th/s..

19.39 th/s over the past 24 hours.. 13.96 th/s over the past 4 hours..
they obviously have enough power to have 99% of network, they just not doing that, because that wouldnt be fair to the rest of bitcoin network,

You have got to be joking.

Tell you what, if you think that's the truth, I'll buy ASICMiner puts from you. Strike is 2.5 BTC, expiration 90 days, 0.14 BTC premium. Deal?

this is good, asicminer is keeping btc decentralized,

us shareholders have nothing to worry about because that just means more dividends from hardware sales Smiley

I'm probably one of the biggest ASICMINER fanboys out there -- but you sound a bit delusional Smiley
