Would Bfgminer work as a proxy?  Anyone tried this?  I used to use it for the blades/getwork and as I understand it supports stratum.

Has anyone tried it with Eligius?

Thanks!

Edit:  Found out from the official tube thread that Eligius is NOT supported.  Don't know about proxy though.

I've got a list of pools I've tested so far, with the error messages returned.

So basically right now they only work with Ghash and probably Discus Fish?

I can deal with a small shipping delay but being able to mine only at the Ghash, not cool. Has anyone contacted FC about the situation? I emailed [email protected] from FC's post with the info that sidehack posted.

side hack posted mmpool.org works on this thread

I also turned in a support ticket to slush's pool to see if it is an easy fix on their end or if they had any suggestions.

The Cubes required the proxy because they only ran getwork. These guys do stratum natively, but apparently they don't do it quite right. Either that or every pool ever has implemented their standards wrong but every other hardware ever somehow compensated (which seems unlikely).

If I knew any python, and had any time at all, and knew more about the stratum packet formats, I'd consider tearing into the proxy and seeing if the erroneous portion can be spoofed and get a proxy going that'll fix the issue with these at least until there's a firmware update.

Would this be of any use? I've seen it recommended by various people/pools:

Novak did some packet sniffing while I fetched a sammich, and it looks like it might be something like the server is requesting a 4-byte extranonce but the miner is returning an 8-byte every time.

sidehack, by chance did you try any on the slush pool itself? Just curious as that is where I mine. Really don't want to go to that other mentioned.

It came in 119 boxes with no instructions, if that says anything.

Seems these are quite the disaster so far...not too impressed (with AM not Canary).

Yeah, they will have to iron that out.  But as we are always cutting edge in this space, nothing surprises me.
Cutting edge? FC is making you his bitch by having you build your own miner with no instructions. And the miners aren't even that efficient.

Oh, that's what is.  Thanks.
