He probably meant ghash went down so he joined mmpool as an alternative.

yes  I was running well on ghash until ghash crashed my s-3 auto- switched to a backup.  The tube went dead so I joined www.mmpool.org  and  I thank you for mentioning it as a second option.  In fact I am sticking with them as you get a bonus if you find the block.

Now an update to the controller for 2 pools with auto-switching would make things very nice for me.  I found a location to mine that will charge me 6 cents a kwatt. I can only run 2 tubes but it will make them good with a 6 cent price.

I don't understand friedcat's thoughts on this.  He would sell more of them with a properly programmed controller. I may have went for 5 of them maybe 10 of them.
These would be an easy sell on ebay at 650 usd.   10 for 7.9 btc =  about 380 usd each.   I could sell 7 for 600 after fees and pay off the 10 leaving me 3 for free.

MMpool.org. Did it used to be called Bitparking?

do not know but ghash went down so i joined it today.

i just wish the controller had two lines and allowed auto switching

Why would you join ghash because it went down?
I wish I had known about the controller issue before I purchased.
Ghash.io sucks and we're forced there.  Come on friedcat!! Fix the controller!

Sorry I'm off topic.  Needed to rant ;(
I think he saying he joined mmpool because ghash went down

That is what I have been doing.  But using Bfgminer as a proxy locks up the controller. Tongue  No web interface/nothing but a blinking light until power cycled!  If I mine

directly to Ghash.io  It works great but no api.

Edit: Apparently Slush's pool works as well although I have never used that one.

Interesting, I've been trying to chase down why my controllers keep locking up and rebooting (one controller per tube for two tubes, both spontaneously reboot or freeze at the same time). Apparently bfgminer is the culprit, then.

Any leads on what the issue is exactly, or how to resolve it?

edit: running tcpdump now so i can look for oddities in the packets ahead of whenever it crashes

Does anyone know if the Ethernet controller that ships with these has any sort of API output?  I monitor all my hardware with a web based frontend and would like to

monitor these too.  I have checked port 4028 and the "system" port and found no such output. Huh

Didn't see any sort of api on the controller itself, but if you run them through a bfgminer proxy you can enable the api in the bfgminer config.

directly to Ghash.io (only pool that works ATM) It works great but no api.
use mmpool.org it works great or use ghash.io  or use slush  my issue with this gear is no auto switching on the controller.  ghash went down I happen to be in my home so i manually switched to mmpool.org

here is a shot of my mmpool screen and the tube screen

Slush's Pool works no proxy, and does so very well.

Has anyone shipped 10 of these into the UK yet?

I'm wanting to know how much the import duty is going to be on top roughly?

I was running a UK group buy but there wasn't enough interest. The import duty should be 0. You'll still need to pay an extra 20% for VAT though.

I wonder if it would be possible to adapt an S1 controller board to run the tube boards.  That would be nice.
well it is a different company so who knows.

At Canary  friedcat is offering coupons. So what is 1 unit price after the coupon. Since I purchased 1 unit from you I should be able to get a .05 btc coupon

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8608924

So if I want one do I send you 0.99 btc?  plus a label?

Even with the restricted controller I do like this gear. A second unit allows me a second controller I am hopeful someone will figure a way to program a better gui into a controller.
Correct

Canary,
I did get an answer from FC in regards replacement which I will forward to you via PM. Thanks.

thanks for info.

this gear really likes the second fan.  I ordered 2 of these from amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KESSI2A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am 90% sure these will work.  they will move air much quieter. I should get them on thurs.
A pair of 140mm fans will fit. a pair of these may even be better

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835220056&cm_re=silverstone_140mm-_-35-220-056-_-Product

these have the same mounting holes as the stock fan but are oversized .

Whats the lethal looking blocks holding up the Power Supply.

Looks like they should be in "Clue" right after the "pipe"  Grin

or something that if you dropped while barefoot would remove a toe for you !!

they are used for tooling machinery.  but they act very nice to allow to psu to stay cool.

the second fan helps this gear a lot.

i am able to run it at oc of 290 and get 903 gh
