Wait so friedcat already tests everything?

so i have been told by john, who heard it from the cat himself.
My vote is that arklan does not test.

My ASICMINER USB Erupter showed up about an hour ago.
Been playing with the Icarus timing settings still not quite got it right yet.

Obviously yes I'm getting around 300MH/s out of it.

Currently best settings are for anyone wondering while I sort it out:
 --icarus-options 115200:2:1 --icarus-timing short

A pic or 2 Smiley Click for bigger

Edit: the USB chip is: ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. CP210x UART Bridge / myAVR mySmartUSB light

daw it's so cute,

I really hope this is done soon, was thinking it would go out before the next blade auction. as cute as this is, everyday I don't get the estimated 0.02 BTC from its single chip is kind of a killer. I'm practically willing to forfeit my spot to someone.

Personally, I preffer faster shipping over testing.

Shipping bulk orders first is ok but I think sending in the order they have been paid is more fair.
And in addition it helps motivating people to pay as soon as possible. (not that it took long this time)

friedcat sent only tested units.
I think testing is unnecessary. In my gb i will test some random samples.
But priority is on fast shipping

fair nuff then. i'll do that.

the hub i grabbed was http://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Power-Adapter-Control-Switches/dp/B0051PGX2I

and now that i look at it... sigh. it may not power a full 12 either.

I think I would rather receive my unit untested rather than have it run under-current.  I'm not an EE...which is probably part of the reason I am paranoid about these sorts of things.

I'm of the same mind, I'd prefer to have it in the condition it was received in.

well that's certainly fair enough.

anyone else got a thought on the matter?

you guys won't kill me if fro mthe day i get the package to mailing it all out is 3 or 4 days, will ya? christ there's a lot of you, and a lot of chips...

That's kind of what I expected.  The chips should be shipped in order of size ordered; the more chips you bought the more you are affected by delays.  I ordered 20 and if I don't end up piggybacking on a group pcb build, fully expect to be shipped somewhere near last.

wouldn't that go against the overnight shipping offer?

or, then again, it kinda compensates for shipping later doesn't it, if you arrive sooner/ same time... hmm.

I think Big Ben is talking about a different group buy.  20 chips?  PCB build?

I'm biased of course, but shouldn't you ship the largest orders first?   Wink

Yea, sorry.  Got my group buys mixed up.  Still think bigger first, and I only got one.

Next time you run one of these (if you are not so burnt out that you'll swallow glass first), think about a policy where the shipping queue is organized based on the order in which people paid up when the call for funds went out.

If I were doing one of these, I'd be tempted to see if I could leverage some automation of some sort.  Google Forms comes to mind but that's only because I've seen it.  There are probably other such things, or one could possible roll one's own.
