I'm having a hard time finding a shop in Europe where this motherboard is available. Have you got some links?

I was also wondering if the motherboard had to be powered by ALL 24 pin connectors or if 3 molex + 1x 24 pin is enough?

You don't need to use the 4-pin molex connectors on the motherboard when using powered risers. They are only there for the few people that may still use ribbon unpowered risers.

"There should be no need for update, this board should support 19 cards already. To run more than 8 AMD cards, you will need AMD Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.10.2 driver. Please download this from AMD website. For full 19 cards, for system stability we recommend mix of AMD and NVidia cards, refer to manual page 1-9 onward for details."
I bet it was some clueless blonde from the support team who is not aware of any nuances and only checked the manual with one eye and gave you such "help".

So. Hard to say if it is the mb or os that is only capable of 13 gpus.
You don't need any OS just to start the motherboard. It does not start with 14 ordinary GPUs.

You can spread them out.

I have 3 on A 3 on B on my rig right now, with 2 PS

Thanks! With this mobo can I stick with using the onboard HDMI port for my display monitor?
I noticed on some video they connect it to one of the GPU?

If you have enabled IGPU then you can use onboard HDMI port, if not then plug it in the first GPU you have installed.

On Windows v1709 I believe the limit on the Asus B250 mining expert is 8 Nvidia + 11 P106 and 13 AMD + 6 P106. On Linux you should be able to run 13 cards of either AMD/Nvidia + 6 P106.

BBT running 13 AMD on the Asus B250 mining expert on Windows v1709.

13 Nvidia 1060 + 6 P106 running under Linux on the Asus B250 mining expert.

Am I able to connect 18 cards with configuration: 12x GTX 1060 6G GPUs ant 6x MINING P106 6G ? Or it need to be mix of AMD's and Nvidia's cards. If this is the only way what ratio between count of AMD and Nvidia card should I choose ?

If I have 8 GPUs and 2 PSUs, can I connect 4 on Channel A and 4 on Channel B to spread the PSU load out?
Is it a must to fully utilize all 7 PCIe on Channel A before I can move onto Channel B?

If you use risers that have the USB cable come straight out, clearance is not an issue at all.
Right-angle risers you have to use in the "closest to the power connection" slots if you are going to use more than one riser per row. or you get cable interference that can make reliable seating of the riser "interface board" problematic.

There should be no performance difference between the slots - try swapping your risers around to see if the issue follows the board.
I've had issues where a "performance difference" turned out to be a marginal USB cable, and just replacing the cable with a better cable CURED the issue.

I have risers that go straight out so that should not be an issue, thanks.

there should indeed be no performance difference between slots but the reality is that I do have differences. I contacted Asrock and they suggested to return the motherboard. I have tried the low performing slots with other gpu, risers, cables, ... same result. I have some well performing ones so it was easy to test the same hardware on the faulty pcie slots. Strange but now it will cost me more money waiting for a new motherboard rather than buying a new one (I make more than 50$/day with my rig so anything above 4 days waiting is wasting money)

I think it never will be support 19 normal gpus.
Amd have never said that.
You have to combine it with p106 or p104 which normal people cant buy.

Ok, but the question is, i can have 11 normal nvidia gpu and 8 p106 or not???

Dont seem so. Seems u can have 11 amd and 8 p106 with the latest amd drivers.

I was reading something about PCI lane capability of CPUs... might be that causes limitation of 13 GPUS on the board?

No, mining cards like p106 work and they use the pci lanes.

is there any place you know where this motherboard is available now ? I've been checking on all major shops and they're all out of stock. This Asus model is really attractive, it gives much more space to the pcie slots, with my current mb it's really difficult to put all risers next to each other due to the lack of space.

For those who already have it, do you measure performance differences between the different slots available? I have a 13 pcie motherboard and I have 3 underperforming slots.

Klint i don't know where you can find it!
I'm using with 13 cards, for now, because it can't works with more than 13 gpu of the same model!!!!

However every slot works the same way with the same performance! Wink
