Running 4 cards currently with no issues, planning on adding a second power supply in the near future and then slowly but surely adding more cards to my rig. Happy to have something that worked so well out of the box!

Congrats! Smiley
I'm using parallelminer's REV2 Ultimate 2400Watt Power Supply holds up to 32 gpu's, got 14 gpus connected to it drawing 1738W atm amazing psu not loud been running for days no hiccups very happy with it Cheesy

I've been fighting with one of these boards for that last few days and thought I would share my experiences as well.

First boot, the board would not post to a single RX580 in a riser. no problem, I'll plug it directly into the mobo, but.. Same deal. I fought with it for a while then shoved in a GTX950 just to see and it posted. after many reboots and GPU changes, once I changed mining mode in the bios to disabled, (also enabled the 4G to enable more the 5 cards) the rig came to life and worked with the 580s.

I had the same problem as others with the # of cards, I can run 13 Nitro+ RX580s ok but if I add a 14th, it won't post.

I also have a lower hash rate than the exact same card in a different rig, both running SMOS.

19 MHS stock
21 MHS flashed bios
OC some go to 23.5 and others go down to 18.5 (I have some with Hynix memory (most are Elpida)and I'm thinking  its those ones but haven't verified it yet)

I've also set up a 12 GPU rig with the ASRock board and had zero issues, it just worked straight out of the box. and its a lot easier to layout 12 cards in a rig than it is 18..

Hey Guys,

My hashrates are 10% lower with this Mobo.  Anyone experiencing this?  Same GPUs on ASrock or MSI board perform better.  Any advice is appreciated.  Also, my afterburner (4.4 beta 16 & 19) is not working anymore

RX580 x 8, 8 gB ram, Intel Celeron, Windows 10 pro.

Windows with the latest updates removed cards limitation you can run 12 Amd cards and 8 Nvidia cards. Also both AMD and Nvidia released latest drivers to support this after Windows did. The problem is from the ASUS side, they need to bring a Bios update.
at the moment  windows supports 12 AMD card , but ASUS supports 11 AMD.  correct if wrong

The problem is from the ASUS side, they need to bring a Bios update (and I hope it happens soon) as this motherboard is a big power saver, rather than buying 3 times CPU,SSD and Motherboard, you buy them only one time. Meanwhile be happy with 13 cards max until Asus release the bios update.

@asus @ASUSUSA Just got off Asus Support and they confirmed 13x is MAX on B250 Mining Expert until BIOS update in 4Q. Case ID#
N171017058"

Having the same issue. Can't get past 13 GPUs. ASUS support says that to get more than 13 we need to use mining cards. Can someone confirm this?

Thanks

I run my rig on Ubuntu 16.04.

I put 13 general purpose gpus (rx570 580, 1060 1070) on the board and it runs perfect.
However, if I put the 14th general purpose gpu, I got POST fail.

If I put 3 more mining gpus to 16 cards (13 general purpose gpus + 3 mining gpus), runs smoothly.

But I have no idea if Ubuntu supports more than 16 gpus.

What i like best about cryptocurrency its making to work harder manufacturers. If not cryptocurrency we never have so much slots for gpus on one motherboard Cheesy
Let me know then ubdate will come and all slots will work. I maby let it a try then 19 cards issue will be solved.
Maby you should use https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kylin_(operating_system) Huh
