Its easy to start overthinking when you see what happens on some ICOs, like Ascendancy, or Nodio.
Or take the MASS Network project, which I actually invested in. Brilliant, well-thought idea presented in whitepaper with all kinds of real-world advisors involved. I personally had extremely high hopes to it, was excited to the extend I even recommended it to some people, which I typically never do. Now their ICO is over, the half of the team has silently left, and they left people wondering if there is anybody still working on the project... That specific case raised my internal FUD susceptibility a lot  

I hope this one is different. Funny, Lingham invested 50 BTC for 20%, now they ask more than 1000 BTC for 70%, so Lingham had more than 5x bonus already compared to us regular investors. Not bad
The T&C may be standard for ICOs here (I dont know actually), but they sound really bad and are unacceptable for real world business investors, as at least commitment should be made for actually producing a working software, even if it's not popular. I cannot imagine a serious businessman providing money to some team, with them promicing him nothing back, except their "reasonable efforts".

And now that "-20%" penaltybonus for everyone who is few days late.. I would say, the promotion of this project and ICO schedule sucks badly. But the project itself is still interesting.

I'll look once again at info on website (the Shark Tank video does not play though), though it didnt impress me yesterday when looking into it. Sincerely I think what actually gave you the confidence is chatting with developers on Slack...

I have few questions, guys. Would appreciate any info, probably I have missed a lot of info on this project.

My first impression on this was - "this is scam". Too many question raised:

1. The game is developed since Mid-2016, but is there any live demo or pre-alpha to look at? Are those developers capable of creating such game? Any info of their previous projects?

2. T&C put all the responsibility on shoulders of investors. Developers guarantee absolutely nothing. So theoretically they can work for a year, spend all the money by getting high wages, and having fun, and then just tell "sorry the public was not interested in the game, and we decided to stop it at alpha stage. No sources, no demo, sorry. Bye". What prevents them from doing that?

3. The ICO progress doesnt seem to be traceable. Is there a way to check whether all those money were really invested?

But then I saw few BCT old-timers here backing this project, and I actually know and respect some of them... So my question is - what do I miss here? What makes you guys think this project is not just another money grab? Any links to info which makes you think the team is real, capable and is actually intending to complete this? Is it just the "famous" South African investors, who make you believe this project? As far as I can see they invested way less than crowdfunding goal is, so they may be a "part of the deal"..?

EDIT: see what is happening at Ascendancy ICO thread...! And they had actual escrows, who are responsive to Bitcointalk community, unlike this project! If something happens, will those "real-world" escrows give a shit to Bitcointalk backers? Dont think so... Its like MASS ICO with Mr.Kuzmin declared as initial escrow - now he just dont give a f**k about investors! Crazy.

Exactly. I just found this thread and finished reading, thinking of joining, but hey... already 600+btc invested, and most got at least 20% more than me . So majoeity have already invested, the rest get "-20%" bonus. The project is new, but too late to invest. Argh. . Don't like this. Typically I pass in such cases...Lets see... Depends on an answer to some questions I have...

AUG seems pretty awesome, you will raise the minimum target, I believe you will do this. Additionally, best devs behind the project, like CEO @gyft.com

not taking away from project, collecting 1000 btc (goal was more than that at start of ICO) more than likely wont happen. on ico page 600 btc collected 10.5 million tokens sold.....
for me more plausible scenario is btc is 1,200 - 1,400 by end of February and they collect 700 -800 or so btc

not worried at all...it may take time but this prject should reward well

The market price will be dumping first of the bounty hunters and the people who bought at 20% discount and they wil, want to sell even at 1% margin, so 19% below the ico end price.

I am not worried at all. It will collect 1000 BTC easy.




There is only 70 millions DataBits available to be sold, but we are at about 12 millions now so I dont think will hit the cap.

not really a loss but I know what you mean.
typically its how it works, early investors are rewarded with a little more.
if they create enough buzz and they begin to deliver on some of the projects goals, the bonus wont mean much.

It's unfortunate that they gave a first day 20%. Now people who missed out on it will no longer buy. You'll have an instant 20% loss..
