Hmm, let's see:

NLG dev team:

Rijk: Dutch
Malcolm: South Africa
Jason: South Africa
Frank: Germany

Any more stupid uneducated remarks?

Who are these devs from SA?

Is there any hope of getting their details?

You can find them on the Gulden ANN (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14137745) Malcolm = MaNi, Jason = WaterLooDown.

Come to think of it, Gulden might actually suit you and your goals better then AUR my friend. They have two South African Dev's, they have large supply and aim to become a worldwide innovative payment system. They have been underpriced for years now, so your investors can buy in cheap!

I tell you what, I'm happy to trade all your AUR against NLG, so you can join efforts there with the same relative amount of coins. I've got plenty of NLG to cover your load.

Just let me know  Smiley

LTEX you want to sell your Gulden to me at a price of 400 ? I will keep my AUR and give you btc for the Gulden you have.

Hi Eggert,

I see you are still confused. But as you are from Iceland, why don't you meet up with the local developers in Reykjavik? I'm sure that in a face to face convo you will get every satisfying answer you need.

Here are some you can PM to arrange an appointment:

Pétur Árnason (Skarfurinn)
Hermann Finnbjörnsson (Apcoins)
Hlynur Þór Björnsson (Dinobotta)
Larus Rafn (Polarbear)
Gudmundur Love (God)

You can also send me an email ([email protected]) and I'll set you up with an account on our Slack channel. You can then chat directly with all community and dev members (in both Icelandic and English).

I kindly ask you to just take a little action to educate yourself in stead of repeating the same misinterpretation over and over. Especially if you are from Iceland I would love to find out if you still believe the FUD that has been spread after you have spoken to the Icelandic developers IRL.

Thanks for your concerns,

Martin

It''s the same coin mate. just new owners . Half The undistributed remainder(minus initial foundation funds) of the 50% premine was destroyed.

Just for clarity.

-Fuse

THIS!!!!

The premine was distributed fairly to all citizens of Iceland, the new team is doing this out of the goodness of there hearts to show the coin can be a success. No bagholders here besides the foundation. Moon here we come!

Do not believe everything you read.

this received couple of airdrops today:
ALTDfdRoDeAcczUgkG7cbpFZkHN74VfE3d

sends it on to AXuwBHwM44NZ2cuYqB3a3hWk8XVC4zo4n2

i think i have not seen a single legitimate claim of an airdrop today. Everything goes to the same 10 to 15 adresses of which 13 send on to the other two.

all airdrops of today more or less are linked to

AXuwBHwM44NZ2cuYqB3a3hWk8XVC4zo4n2

and

AYEkRf9fNbLVkCTjHBpKHZD1X578TaYK6g

the wallets receiving premine today and not linked to these two adresses yet, will be linked to them within 72 hours.

these two adresses claim airdrops and receive same time airdrops from other adresses which claim on the same blocks even. So pretty much every claim of an airdrop you saw yesterday and today (and will keep seeing) will end up in one of the two adresses above.

Auroracoin airdrop is predictable. This is a huge bust.

Just read this page and you see why new coin is needed for Iceland. A fresh start without any doubt of corruption.

For new users you.must know what you getting into with AUR. Some of the community here are victims of dumps by original airdrops and need to make it work to offload their coins.

Walking away is not a option or they risk losing a lot of investment. A new coin for Iceland should of been created to give a crypto a real chance in Iceland.

There will be community members that will defend the above because they have a lot to lose.

Endorsement from the dev team is of little value to people outside of Iceland.

Please focus on development and spend less time worrying about endorsing people.

We appreciate the enthusiasm of some of the followers here.  It is humbling that people would be excited to adopt AUR in places outside of Iceland.  However, the team is going to clearly state our goal once again: adoption of Auroracoin in Iceland.  We will not endorse any effort to use or promote AUR outside of it’s intended audience.  While members like Whistleblower and Adamastor would be a welcome resource here in Iceland, we will not endorse or condone any effort from them to make AUR an economic solution in Africa.

We sent yesterday an invite to join our new Slack channel to all people registered to our mailing service.

Here is what we sent :

Reykjavik, IS - March 14, 2016.  After considering some options the Auroracoin development team decided to create a Slack channel and invite everyone who is interested in the Auroracoin project. Slack (https://slack.com) is a great chat tool that simplifies comminication in groups.

So that being said we like to invite all you Auroracoin enthusiasts, traders, lurkers, merchants, miners and those who are just plainly curious to our Auroracoin Slack channel. If you want to get an invite just simply reply to this email and state so. This is a great opportunity to have direct communication with the development team and others interested in the Auroracoin Project.

To anyone who wants to join we want to say that we expect people to be polite and respect one another and watch their language at all times. We wish to keep a constructive environment that focuses on Auroracoin advancement.

See you soon !

+++

So some of of you want to get an invite - just let me know in PM - with an email adress : most of you will be accepted to this channel.

With the last Cryptsy twist, I wonder if we may see people's AUR back. I do not have much hope still. Why don't they allow withdraw yet ?  Only BTC/LTC and few others coins impacted, right ?

Like the multi-algo update. Will keep an eye on developments here. I assume the groestl algo is myriad-groestl and these can be used with algo= conf option similar to MYR once the magic block number is released?

Well we have our own version with icelandic singers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al2NwAqTp7o

I get the joke but not really a laughing matter (sorry for the PC)

Iceland have no starving people but Africa have many people that have no food. I was joking because starving people in Africa can't make price go up like Iceland that don't need food help and want to try virtual currency.
adamastor how many slave you have?

You might want to retract and revise your words; such thing you're saying, whilst making a relation with African people, has nothing to do with joking around...  Angry

I tell you what, I'm happy to trade all your AUR against NLG, so you can join efforts there with the same relative amount of coins. I've got plenty of NLG to cover your load.

Just let me know  Smiley

Since the appearence of Adamastor at this forum, I am following the discussions between the devteam and him with interest. Adamastor understands the need for crypto currency for Africa and has put in a lot of time to educate the south african people about Auroracoin. On the other side we have a devteam that concentrates on the original purpose of Auroracoin; Iceland.
From the beginning, I had the idea, Adamastor choose the wrong coin. It is very difficult and confusing to try promote a nation coin in another country. I think, Adamastor makes a big mistake here and I am really pity for him his efforts aren't rewarded enough. Until now, I never talked about it, because I didn't want to talk on this forum about any other altcoin. Now, when I see LTEX making Adamastor an offer to change Aurora for NLG, I decided, I could post my ideas as well. For me, it's very clear that Digibyte is absolutely the coin Adamastor has to choose to promote in South Africa. In fact, Digibyte is just as Aurora and NLG  a coin that is fundamentally designed to be used for payments.
Digibyte has an extremely hard working devteam and isn't designed to become a coin for one nation. Jared Tate the founder of Digibyte, was one of the key speakers at south african bitcoin conference held at 3 and 4 march, just one week ago.
Adamastor, I really think your efforts will be rewarded a lot more when you offer your help to Jared Tate. The DGB devteam always asks the community to help and is very thankfull for it.
I am not gonna post any links about DGB, everyone knows how google works.

I personally, own as much AUR as DGB, so it's not that I am promoting DGB. But the efforts of Adamastor on one side and the ideas of the devteam on the other side, gives me the idea that we have a misfit here. When two parties, both doing an excellent job, don't match, it's probably the best they seperate.

Adamostar, just in case you want to make a change from Aurora coins to DGB without losing money by trading fees and differences between buy- and sellprices, you can always ask me to sell Aurora for DGB.

Adamastor, I also would like to say something about NLG. For you, it's probably impossible to figure out what happened at NLG. I am just like you, an idealist, who sees the benefitsof crypto for all the people in the world. For centuries the normal people have been financially raped by banksters, western unions etc...This must come to an end. From the start, I followed all 3 coins, Aurora, DGB and NLG. I liked all 3 of them and I think all 3 have a chance to survive, allthough all 3 coins differ a lot. NLG has an unsolvable problem in my opinion. This problem is Rijk and Geert. They tend to run NLG in a form of dictatorship. The guys that really did a good job for NLG, like LTEX, BIOMIKE and ny2cafuse were never rewarded. So now, NLG is still a coin with a community with hard working people run by 2 devs who make huge mistakes, in my opinion.

Actually, the situation you are in now with Aurora coin has some similarity with the situation LTEX, BIOMIKE and ny2facuse had with NLG. With focus on "some". Don't get me wrong to think that I compare these 3 guys with the NLG devs. The similarity is that there are different opinions between you and the devteam and sooner or later we will see that a lot of good efforts will not have the result that they could have had.

off topic but I'm going to be on national television tonight. I starred in one episode of a series called showville, a local reality show that goes from town to town in SA hosting a talent show in each town. When they came to Simon's Town I took the film crew on a tour of the town which will cast a background to the show that happens in the town hall.

The reason I'm perma-bullish about Auroracoin is because it has me.

Don't rely on the people of Iceland to make you rich, the people of Iceland need you to lead them out of financial slavery.

The same goes for any other coin like digibyte or nlg. I don't know anything about digibyte but if they have a POS system for merchants then I will gladly promote its use to my constituency but when Auroracoin gets a pos system then that will become the default.

The only good thing about Auroracoin not having a POS system is the coins are less valuable which gives one more incentive to buy them knowing that its a matter of time until the POS system is a reality along with the krona exchange and all the marketing that on its way.

In the mean time I'm talking to marketing guys from Gulden about distributing it here in Cape Town.

Digibyte guys are welcome to educate me about its wonderful applications.
