You mentioned the 2400W 220V PSU from parallel miner and I know I'll get at least one of those, but what should I do for the third? I like the idea of getting a second 2400W PSU since it makes it easy to add another miner in the future, but I'm wondering what I'm losing in efficiency if I run it a PSU at less than 50% of its rated output.

The 2400W PSU with half load will still have the rated power efficiency.
You have understood the power supply principles wrong.

This is not true. PSU's rated power efficiency only happens at around 50 percent load, anything before and after that and it starts dropping usually up to 3%

When you start running multiple home servers and computers that 3% starts to matter over time along with its plus rating.

Exactly. And with the difficulty level increasing, the profit margins are shrinking if you hold the total hash capacity constant. Trying to cut impacts to profits anywhere I can.

Im hoping some people will switch to BCC to even out the difficulty and slow it down.

I will see what I can do to help you. My phone and google hangouts is going crazy.

On hold orders with Canaan means you've selected manual payment aka BTC payment. To expedite your order, click on the order hyperlink, and create a ticket (towards the bottom of the order page) requesting for BTC payment address. You will get a response eventually.

oh so then it does mean they should have a machine on hold for us then right? so its not a big deal if they take their time getting back to us?

Yes  we sent a batch to HK  and  hopefully it was enough.

However, we got hundreds orders in about 10 minutes.

Trust me... it was no picnic on our side. Took me 2 and a half hours to get my order in and I'd been logged onto the site for an hour ahead of time.

If you could help expedite the order of three 741s headed to Louisiana, U.S., that would be great! Hoping the BTC payment info comes in soon.

Thank you guys for the hard work.

The site is still letting us do orders. I just put one in nice and easy.

I am waiting on the last order from Aug 6th it is stuck in Japan.

I ordered one unit today.

I ended up with three 741s Smiley

What do you suggest for the third miner?

Which power supplies you buy for your Avalon miners? I can find so many on Alibaba/Parallelminers etc. but I dont know if there are more trusted or better ones? (Live in the EU)

Unfortunately Avalon is still not selling their own supplies.

For larger orders ( >60)  we do ship the PSU.  Its custom built for our miner.  As I bring on a distributor or two  I will probably
supply them to the disty. But for now I have them all in Beijing and they are hard to keep in stock.

I've bought three PSU's from Parallel miner and can say they're legit. Their PSU's are of high quality as well.

Parallelminers was recommended to me and is probably what I'll go with. This is my first venture into mining, so I'm relying heavily on the recommendations and experience of others.

Are the 741's worth it? I'm just curious. With Bitmain's S9 you can have 14 T/H while the avalon only does half of that. Also, they are also pulling 1300 watts as well correct? So nearly the same power price yet half the hash rate. I need someone to talk me into ordering one. I have my S9 in already but it hasn't made me much money in the past 4 days.

Biggest advantage I can tell is its actually  200 watts lower (1150) and it easier to split the power so 2 650 power supplies can be used (cost $150) instead of a 1500 (cost 480$) from what i hear its also better build to last longer before failing.  plus the miner itself is almost 500$ cheaper so comparing them 1 for 1 is hardly fair comparison.
