I placed an order today for one 721  I am to be billed manually. So I will ask for my 25 dollar discount due to me from my last purchase.  This 25 was for  being allowed to order with BTC.

I will get back to show if they give me this credit.

Can the new Avalon 741s run on the same controllers that I purchased last year to run Avalon 6's just with updated firmware?

I got my 741 in today, to join the 721.
I have one controller.
I'm putting each one on it's own USB cord.
What is the power on sequence and timing I should use for adding the 741 to my working 721 and controller?
Anything special I need to do? New firmware?
I also notice I'm showing NetworkBlocks 16, but I'm mining BTC on a pool, and 16 blocks haven't even passed yet in the time the controller has been online, why is that?

Seems I got them working, was much easier than I thought, but still curious if there is new firmware or MM or controller image etc for 741, and the proper power sequence.
It is very cold, my 721 is running 6700GH and 741 8500GH, pool side give or take 5%
So the 721 for example was stated to run 6TH, but is going 6.7TH
Does it use more power doing this?  Haven't had a chance to hook up my meter.

Yeah you will most likely need a own chain for each miner type.
But they should work with the same raspberry pi.


edit: except the 721 and 741 are able to work in the same chain

I think you will be able to have two chains, one for the 721's and one for the 741's if they wont all work on the same chain.  I do have 3 separate chains on my pi now, all with 721's.  I'll have the answer on Wed.  jfb


With the newest software, based on the code, you should be able to run A4, A6, A721 and A741 with the same raspberry pi.

I would be annoyed further to find  I can not do the chain above.

Any idea on whether they'll accept bitcoin for payment?  I didn't order the 721's after people were stating that they required bank wire.  Just curious if they've resolved this -- cannot find an answer on their website.

They do accept BTC.

Yeah and after they charged me they stopped charging 25 use fee for using btc.

So they owe me 25 usd in btc .

They don't reflect this in my account that they will give be a 25 usd credit since they stopped charging the fee.

They also give only 90 day warranty.
They also do not say if the 741 will run on the same controller as the 721
To be clear I want to run 2 721s and 1 741 on the same controller. Which I purchased from them along with the two 721s.





They also marked the two units I purchased as aluminum and I was charged 80

In taxes by fedex.

So frankly I am not pleased with them.

Final thing. No need to post the API log.

Just Check that the MW from 0 to 3 are not showing zero. ( 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0.....etc)

If they are showing zeroes, restart that specific unit.

If it still shows zero, restart it again till the MW changes to any number than zero.

Update the controller and MM to the latest versions and it will work out for you.

Before that can you post your api here? Maybe a restart could do the trick.
They are located at Sinohash hosting so I will check with him to make sure they are using the latest MM version. Thanks!

Yep thanks just saw it. Dang just purchased 10 A721, albeit a decent price point but having some stability issues and underhashing.

It's actually not anymore efficient but maybe it holds the 7.3 TH level better than the A721 holds 6 TH.

Avalon is selling the A741 now.

7.3TH @ 1150w.

Different cooling. Airforming cooling technology. Hmmmmm.

What's the price on the A741?

They should open it soon since they constantly changing the website.

I hope the unit they sent me is the A741 instead of A721.
