Lol, funny way of putting it.
Delaying batch 3 could be a way to handle this, the same treatment given to batch 1 and 2.

Problems?

It's nothing to do with greed and everything to do with initial planning. If you expect a product by a certain time and this product does not arrive in time, then you are in effect losing money - since your plan takes earnings into account. It's not greed, it's simply not wanting to screw a plan sand start over again.

Business plans take time and if you have business partners changing the plan is a royal pia.

It's one thing to expect to receive your product in a timely manner.  I feel for those Batch 1 customers who have not received their orders. Similarly I would feel bad for Batch 2 customers who do not get their units before some Batch 3 customers.

But to openly say that he hopes they delay Batch 3... what else other than greed can you call that part of his statement.  I would love sit next to this guy on a plane after crash landing.  He would open the door and say "well, I'm out.  Sucks to be you loser" and run off.

Ok guys, just relax.
Yifu stated, that the trade-ins will be shipped before the 2-nd batch.

So heres the calculations:

1) 2 weeks is given to trade-in customers, so that people can send those fpga back.

2) Somewhere around 26april-5may, trade-in avalons will be shipped.

3) Somewhere around 5may-15may, second batch will be fully shipped.

4) 20may-1june, 3rd batch will be shipped.

it makes sense.

We are all in the same boat, so just relax, if youre gonna ask for 100 times, when will we receive our avalons, you wont receve them faster, you will just waste your nerves.

And remember that bfl customers waited almost 1 year, and still didnt received anything.

So Batch 2 customers paid less than Batch 3 customers, they get their machines earlier and have a lower difficulty to deal with.  And you're worried about Batch 2 customers getting ROI... in fact willing to throw Batch 3 customers onto the train tracks to pick up a penny?  How very noble of you.

"We would like to acknowledge that we have received your request and a ticket has been created with Ticket ID - ###.
A support representative will be reviewing your request and will send you a personal response.(usually within 3-4 months, maybe)."

So... not sure if this should be in a separate thread...

... do you guys think batch2 and batch 3 will just be merged since 3 is scheduled to be shipped first week of May... and things aren't going to get into full swing  with batch 2 until next week anyway?

What do you think?  Do you think they will be done with batch 2 shipments by the first week of May?  Seems like they do learn from past experiences/mistakes.

Avalon, can we have an update?
You started shipping very slovly yet no one received the tracking? Maybe you didn't started shipping or you are still shipping batch 1?
When is the upgraded fab going online? What will be the upgraded capacity?
You said that batch 2 will finish shipping by the end of the month, this isn't true anymore, correct?

I would also like to know when to expect my batch 2 to ship...
This is everyone's problem...

For me it is a VERY BIG problem. Since 2nd of Feb some things changes  - I've moved to another part of Moscow, and the post office now is 25 km far from my new place - so to check if  they have any shippings for me is absolutelly impossible at businessdays, I have a chance to check only by saturdays and it will cost me 3 hours in traffic jams each time within... how many weeks?... or months? And when I should begin to check? total despair...
But I do not want even try to change shipping adress at store page because I'm not shure it have or will have any link with my  order.
And only thing that I'm dreaming about - is my shiny order (wondering what number it is) in store page with date when it was send. Post tracking link would be an optional miracle I never even dreamed about.

my units are with Mr. chen for two days now, today I returned there with one more, he is keeping track of all units and its respective owners. But I agree with El_ree, and I suspect no tradein units were shipped  Sad

I asked him, 什么时候?(when) he opened his arms while raising shoulders...no surprise.

I shipped my unit to them, it arrived on the same day I got the email, just nobody from Avalon got in contact with me then.
I live in China and took the best express...
