From my personal estimates the majority of the users are probably between 18-38 years of age.

~CfA~
thats true, most of my friends that use bitcoins right now are around that age, i think that its because the people who use new technologies are usually really young because they like new technologies

i am 22 years old and i am using bitcoins for a while already, in my opinion it is a really great thing that allows me to make some money from time to time, also i like using it online

Given the level of technological sophistication it takes to use bitcoin (not that hard but it's quite user unfriendly compared to PayPal or a banking site), ID say 18-35, and most likely white males. But, a lot of kids are familiar with bitcoin, and I feel they skew the average age down, but are outliers if you consider the amount of btc they hold collectively (very little).

Just wondered what age the average buyer of Bitcoin is. Myself I'm 36.

well i am 26 and all of my friends that use bitcoins are 20-30 years old, and i am pretty sure that most of bitcoins users are at this age, then there are still alot at age 30-40 years too

and i think it is because younger people even if they know about bitcoins, they can't afford them and older people could afford them, but probably don't know much about bitcoins

It would most probably be between 22 - 40. If you get introduced early like me then you get to spend more time on Bitcoin.  Smiley

I think anyone can buy bitcoin, there is no general minimum limit for buying bitcoin. if you are teenager now you can purchase and use bitcoin if you had known about bitcoin.
the question is about the average user. if i look around me and the persons about whom using bitcoin their age is between the limit of 30 to 40 years of age. i think it is just a personal view. the actual data can some thing else.

I am 27 years old.
I think Bitcoin is only interested in the younger generation. Enough to see the level of technical expertise and knowledge among the people, and you'll see that modern technology and the internet is only interested in young people. The older generation does not pay much attention to all new and modern things.
There are allot of bitcoin users that around your age because the new generation needs to activate the bitcoin you know older people dont want to invest into something that is to new because
they dont believe it will grow fast this times. So most of the bitcoin users are very youjng for sure most above the 20 under the 35

I think the average age of 22-30 is where people are trying to get a lot of money, or those who do not work, because it is difficult to get a job.

how do you mean average age of bitcoin users i dont think there are allot of older people who are using the bitcoin because it is quiet new and older people dont
want to try new things that can costs them allot of money you know i think it is more the younger generation that are using bitcoins.

Well, that doesn't always have to be the case. I know some older people who like techology and are willing to try new things. And that is good, people shouldn't have fear from the new tehnologija. But in general, yes, the majority are junger people. I think 20-35 is the average age.

Think you've to divide between users and investors. Think users start with maybe age of 16 or around while I think most investors are 30+.
i think 16 is not a  reasonable age to say that most of the user are about 16 years of age. i think the users of bitcoin are up to 25 years of age and the investors are above 30 mean 30+.

22 of total voters agree with me,the range of bitcoin user or investor range is 22-30 its for user i think, because bitcoin investor not that young, they have good experience in investment and age.

Furthermore, this age group is the tech savvy people. They are really immersed with technology daily. They are more technology/computer literate age group also, and their grasp/understanding of crypto/networking etc are not a hindrance to them.

It probably tends to be younger individuals, but there are some older people that want to get in to a good investment. I think bitcoin can cross over to older generations if they can get past the technology.

Right, because most young people have something thought to make new things and better than the stuff that's already there. And it is also in the bitcoin, because the best of the revolutionary bitcoin digital currencies in advance.

Since the bitcoins are not so old and is a new technology most of the users of bitcoins are also young. Bitcoin are not something to be used by old peoples as they old people dont take the change easily.
whereas new technology and currency is more easily adoptable from newer generations.

I think this depends because how much bitcoin does it take to qualify
as a "user" Im in the 31-40 bracket and I bet more bitcoins are owned in
that bracket but most users are 21-30 I just think they have less of them

Depends how different people look at this from both sides. If you are 20 years old, you might think people from 30 to 40 years are old, and when you 40 years old, you look at these 20 year old people, and you think of them as youngsters. Age is just a number and in no way a benchmark for anything.

It's all in the mind. ^smile^
