I think that the average age of the bitcoin user changes over time, and not just because people are also aging over time...LOL....The common USER is probably a younger type person who is technologically competent who is interested in the project, while the common INVESTOR is probably an older type of person who has money saved which they are willing to invest.   Add to those demographics the common MERCHANT who probably lies somewhere in between the other two.  In the beginning the average user was probably those from the first group, followed by those in the second, and then culminating in the addition of those in the third group.

It probably tends to be younger individuals, but there are some older people that want to get in to a good investment. I think bitcoin can cross over to older generations if they can get past the technology.

I think the chart makes relative sense, considering that a lot of younger people are more interested in Bitcoin and would be more likely to actually get involved (when compared to older people), and so seeing the curve peak at 22-30 year olds makes sense in my opinion.

The curve might flatten out a bit in the future, maybe, but for now it all makes sense and basically fits with what we've expected.

Need the technical talent to get involved.

Need the desire as well.

I think 20-40 is around the average demo.
well yeah, according to the poll results the average person age is between 20-40 years though i was pretty surprised to be honest because i thought that more young people use it

i started with bitcoin when i was 16 years old, then i was pretty young and i used only faucets and played some games for bitcoin in order to gain some extra money, now im 18 years old and even though the idea to make some money is left in my mind, my main priority is to make bitcoin popular, make bitcoin business and reach the goal when bitcoins will replace all the bank system

Since bitcoin is the currency of the internet the most appropiate age should be 22-35 , I personally am part of this range as I think this is the generation who started out with windows 95 and now we are at Windows 10 so we have been through a lot and it means we are more prone to embrace bitcoin than other age generation.

i'm also in the 22-30 zone, many people are in that zone but the sample is very small, it can be that more ancient user are in bitcoin, we need more tech savy people in the other age category, especially between young people, i think we need one whole generation to have this

I think the young people are using Bitcoin a lot more than old people, so i think the average age of Bitcoin users could being between 20 to 40 maximum, and there is some exceptions of course.

I am 27 years old.
I think Bitcoin is only interested in the younger generation. Enough to see the level of technical expertise and knowledge among the people, and you'll see that modern technology and the internet is only interested in young people. The older generation does not pay much attention to all new and modern things.
I am 46 years old.

I hope the pool is accurate because there might be troll among us Roll Eyes

I am 16 years old (is it early ?) but started using this cryptocurrency when i was 15 (one year back). I think the tech savvy youth would be using it more but experienced investors are also involved in it as it is a global currency.
I think early is better, who knows with bitcoin you could become rich in future and people would call you young investor Roll Eyes

Just wondered what age the average buyer of Bitcoin is. Myself I'm 36.

If I have to based it in bitcoin's social media group in our country, the average is:

Below 18: 20%
18-30: 50%
31-above: 30%

Most our in middle age. Since in that age, new grads or unemployed are finding other opportunity to make an income.
