I think the average age of bitcoin users is between 18 and 30 years which is not in any of the options in the poll by the way. and I say this because bitcoin users are mostly younger people who are interested in technology more than any other generation before them.

Just wondered what age the average buyer of Bitcoin is. Myself I'm 36.
i think juvenile and adult between 13-40 but to kids under 12 i think not available.. so there must be lessons for children
For me i think 20 - 30 is the average age of bitcoin users but we can not calculate the exact average and the important is i can collect bitcoin daily and save it for my future.

It is mostly the upcoming young entrepreneurs who no longer abide by the "go to school do well go to collage get a good job" bs.
That no longer works and actually never has, jobs are for poor people. This is the new age and a new way to make money being paid for things other generations could never understand.

I'm 37 as well. I knew bitcoin too late but if I knew bitcoin since 2009, i may be a bag holder of more than 10k bitcoin.
Unfortunately, i wasn't informed about how this blockchain work and how this can be useful in the future of finance industry.

It would have been interesting to know what age group has a significant amount of coins. I know ages 15-20 may use bitcoin but we could be talking a few satoshis. From an investment point of view id like to know what ages hold more than say 1btc +. Not that 1btc is significant holdings buit i doubt many people would like to admit to holding too much.

I dont know what is the average age of the bitcoin users. Because many bitcoin bitcoin user dont reveal their profiles, cause they want to be anonymous. But i have many friend that is using bitcoin at age 15-19
but to me as i know some people who are using bitcoin and whose age is above 30, therefore to me the age of the most users will be above 30,
yeah you've seen some people whose age is above 30 but doesn't mean the most of bitcoin users is above 30 years old,as you stated that you just seen some and can't just generalize, even though the exact result is impossible to be found, but you can know from this topics that actually people stated they're below 30 and it's valid

Anything you could say here about supposed average age of bitcoin users is pure speculation. We can't even tell - even remotely - how many users bitcoin network have,
not to mention their age range. There are some general clues that might be useful in our estimation:

1. Bitcoin is technical novelty - which group is the first to accept it? Young people, especially male population.
2. Bitcoin is revolutionary monetary system - again - young people are motor of changes here.
3. Bitcoin is potentially disruptive, herald of a new age of economy.

I've seen some surveys trying to answer question about bitcoin users demographic -http://www.coindesk.com/new-coindesk-report-reveals-who-really-uses-bitcoin/

But I doubt we will gain full perspective just from this one survey.

Amazing that the results are right assuming they voted their respective ages, the majority of the voters vote Ages 22-30 years old  which shows the right age of people who want to earn extra money. Also the 2nd largest is the 31-40 yo . This certain age  from 22-40 know how internet works and has a deeper understanding about several kinds of investment.

It is mostly the youths and the young professionals. We can also calls them the Millennials? People who are accustomed to internet are the young ones, started early and embracing with new technology as a normal way of life.Older ones find it difficult to catch up with technology in my opinion.

i am not sure about the average age of bitcoin users and i do not think you are able to find that out ,a poll here would only shows the average age of bitcointalk forum members and not the age of bitcoin users, well i am in my 30s,i assume you would see teenagers mostly in forums

It is really hard to know and predict on what is the average age of bitcoin users. Because I know some younger than 10 years old are able to make some trading career in bitcoin, I can't remember where did I read that. And there are as old as 60 years old who doesn't have something to do for himself but to get attached into bitcoin.

Didn't expect many users above 30 honestly. This is a good sign, it means Bitcoin has a wider public than previously thought.
yes youngsters are more in the field of bitcoin but it is not right that not much from above that age. I have saw a lot of people who are older in age who are using bitcoin there are some people who are retired from their day job and now they in search of online earning are working with bitcoin to earn their living.

I think more and more people will adopt the bitcoin technology. Bitcoin is for everyone and I think people from 0 to 100 can use the technology and learn how to use it.

I think the average in age should be around the end of 20 and the beginning of 30.

During the first used of bitcoin i was more on thinking that the average age was from 18-40 years old but i was shocked because when i saw some old folks using bitcoin if i am not mistaken they were about 50-60 years of age and damn they are veterans tho.
that's very usual thing, why do you think around hundreds thousand of bitcoin users there's none of person are 50 years old or even older?
but yeah I guess they're veteran that seeing people with that age could operate the technology, maybe they're programmer or such a techy person when they was young

Not just a techy person i guess, marketers also can be able to see bitcoin as an opportunity so they studied technology on the later age. Well obviously most of the younger persons are exploring more of the internet world.
