It's really simple. Use MyCrypto instead of Myetherwallet. It's made by the same team, It looks the same and it has more improvements so there is no reason why you wouldn't use it.

Its not made by the same team. Actually its more than that, there was some power grabbing MEW that resulted to some of them separating and putting up MyCrypto.

I haven't seen a single phishing attempt yet targeting Mycrypto, most likely because hackers are not really aware of it as of now as not many people use it. Either way, the domain name is shorter so It's unlikely that you'll fall it.

Yes. Because majority of investors are still using MEW because they're used to it. You just have to learn how to protect your account and you're good to go. Please there's a lot of helpful tips around that will reduce your chance of being phished.

1) Just add right address to your bookmark https://www.myetherwallet.com/
2) Install chrome extension EAL (EtherAddressLookup), which alarm you if you on phishing site
3) Prefer to use .json file + password; not private key. It can safe you from key loggers, if your PC was infected by one.

You have said it all but to be frank, I think both are the same since they are from the same team, the best advice you can possibly give is for people to bookmark the website link to avoid a going to a scam website.

Since you said that MyCrypto and MyEtherWallet was developed by the same team, I do not see why I should think one is safer than one because they would be running the exact same software and security measures in both so both are prone to attacks.

Phishing is a problem only for users. Because the project team cannot fix it. This topic is more like an advertisement. Yeah, every site can be double bottom. And the little-known sites themselves may be fraudulent ..

In my opinion, MEW is save and if someone decided to hack, they can do it no matter how.
MEW or MyCrypto, it all depend on us how we are securing our details.

please be afraid for scammers, especially now they began to write in telegrams, send incomprehensible links to the mail, be careful
Yeah scammers and hackers are everywhere and we should be vigilant on our money and make it as our habit to transacts only on those credible sites or have it bookmark and as much as possible we must update our antivirus to detect those malware.

Are you kidding that hackers do not know of another site, and therefore got hacked? It’s mostly our fault that our wallets are hacked. The Myetherwallet has only one problem, that there is no two-factor authentication.

I don't know what MyCrypto is. Anyway, I think you are just missing a point that that site can also be phished. Right now, we don't face any phishing site for mycrypto because it is not too famous among the users. I believe, like as me, most of the users don't know about mycrypto and they are simply using myetherwallet. Soon, the hacker will also try out phishing through mycrypto, just let it be quite popular.

All opportunities to earn money online is the target of hackers and scammers, whether mew or mycrypto,it's all the same. I think the only way to avoid this things is to use hardware wallet. Web wallets are prone for hackers I think.

It is a recommended act to always check the site link very well before clicking on them, I know someone that have made such mistake and unfortunately all the valuable asset owned in the person wallet was transferred out. Especially MEW pishing link that request for private key before one can open it. The best way is just to check very well before opening any site.
Even the real MEW will request you private key to access your address, it's always safe to get the MEW app installed on your PC otherwise use the mycrypto app so that you won't get bothered checking the link every single time and you will reduce the risk of being phished into a scammy website.

I think it's a good recommendation to avoid phishing, now it's very vulnerable to hacking that occurs as a result of phishing. yes, but there are actually a lot of options especially for our own pc's endurance. I think currently investors and members here have experience to prevent hacking

I also prefer to use MyCrypto desktop version, it's much safer based on users testimonials and experienced, so far all we are reading are MEW phishing links but we have not yet read Mycrypto desktop wallet hacked unless the owner handed to other his own private key, now that's a different story.

What is the main difference between mycrypto and myetherwallet? Both are online wallets, so how could you avoid phishing on some other online website?

Phishing is when hackers buy a domain name that looks similar to the original one and also make the web page looks the same and they try to make you upload your wallet file there and put your password etc.

I don't think MyCrypto could be considered as an online wallet because your info is not stored there but my point is, MyCrypto looks different and the domain name is somehow different and short and hard to find similar to it and until now, I haven't seen phishing attempts targeting it so it could be much safer to use that for now.

This could easily avoided if people will give value to their security and could extensively examine the site where they input their private keys and avoid downloading things that are suspicious and unncesessary
