Are there better options than Nicehash for Giant B?

After a power outage, I noticed that my "total chips" have gone from 64 to a lesser amount.

Has anyone had this problem?

I've reset each of the miners with no change in chip count. I have not tried reflashing the SD.

I had this problem on my baikal giant x10.. but randomly after some days the total chips amount went back to full.. I've heard dissembling the hashboards and miner controller and putting it all back together may have fixed this problem for someone else

what coins use Blake256R8 algo?

There are a couple different variants of the Blake256R8 Algo.

The Main one being  BlakeCoin + Merged Mined Child Coins

Also Vcash switch from Whirlpool to Blake256R8 but the header is different so they are not compatible

They were also a few other coins that implemented a variant of the Blake256R8 algo, just can't think of them right at the moment

The BlakeCoin Dev BlueDragon747 has sent an email to Baikal trying to verify compatibility

I have also sent an email and asking the same Grin

Any updates on this? Can the Baikal Giant B mine Blakecoin?

Does anyone use one APW3++ to power two giant B’s?

Yes, I use APW3++ to power all mine in a 1:1 ratio.

They work fine.
What about powering two miners with one APW3++ PSU, have you tried that?

Just to be clear since these units are ASIC miners (and not FPGA as originally thought), any 'new' algorithm released would already have been hard-coded into the chips in your rig.  It would simply be a matter of the 'unlocking' them.  With the X10, X11Gost, NIST5 and Groestl have been there all along.  They recently unlocked X11Gost and NIST5, but Groestl remains locked.  You can see Baikal is mining Groestl with their own rigs.  After all, Groestl brings negative profit for any GPU yet the hash on the network is very high.

Baikal has added 2 new algos to Baikal Giant X10. Nist5 and X11Gost. Does someone know the website, where i could check the profit, which can be made now with this 2 new algos?

The two new algorithms mine Bulwark(nist5) and SIBcoin(x11gost).

Bulwark makes $21/day
Sibcoin  makes $16/day

careful folks. there are talks about lbry being forked to make it more GPU friendly, still trying to get answers but devs are already discussing this.

Baikal will need to add some new algorithms if thats true.
They already lowered the price to $2,700 and are now offering them as buy one get one free so its only $1,350 each.
Did Baikal ever say they were going to add more algorithms for the Giant B or was that only for the X10?

In the past it sounded like they might add some more, but this the response they gave me today:

"HI,
Sorry we haven't got any updating info on giant B currently
Best,
Baikal"

My guess is they don't plan on updating it and thats why they marked them down to 2 for $2,700

Source?

Most of us can't get it to mine Lbry right now anyway. It only switches between Decred and Pascal.
I’m sure if you really want to mine Library you could just point your miner at that pool and turn off nicehash autoswitching.
