Has anyone received theirs that is not a newbie who has just registered, its so funny seeing people with 1 or 2 posts jump in here and find their way right to this post to say they got theirs. Seems awfully fishy to me.

nah, nothing fishy, they just figured out how to use the search feature of the forum.

I ordered parts to start building a 12gpu rig. Figure I will have that all set up well before I get my baikals. OH WELL.

Baikal suckered us all. If u check the thread they opened about the x10, u will see that at the date they were supposed to deliver our mines myriad groestl and myriad Digy had a daily profit of hundreds of dollars. They provide pictures. They just decided to milk away our profits. They simply do not give a shit about their customers, especially if they are stupid foreigners. Chinese mentality in a nutshell...

Well.. why should Baikal do this? You can call them a lot referring to this thread but not stupid  Wink

It's not about stupidity or whatnot, who knows, maybe they have a higher standard of doing what's right. At least they offer a refund route for the issues. Unlike Bitmain, Innosilicon, and etc, those companies would never give you that option i think.

thats very unlikely, and wouldnt be correct also.
imagine if bitcoin went down..

Baikal is a good company, the only negative thing i can say about them was offering the giant+ for 7000$.
(and me stupid enough to buy 2 units with my last money..)

i dont mind the delay, but i really dont like receiving parcels during xmas time.
chances for anything going wrong are much higher.

I just thought of something, I remember reading some people said they were able to pay with crypto in the very beginning of the pre-sale. With all the delays, Baikal offered people full refunds as an option.

For those people that DID pay with crypto, you should ask Baikal, if you will be refunded the exact crypto amount that was sent as payment. Because from the beginning of the pre-sale and now, crypto currencies have went up a lot. So maybe you might come out on top if taking the refund route if it's for the exact amount. Make sure it's not a refund for an equivalent value at the time in crypto.

For example, if you paid for 4 miners in September pre-sale, that would be $1188 x 4 = $4752

1 BTC in September was about $4000.

So $4752 / $4000 = 1.188 BTC

Now, if you get refunded 1.188 BTC, at today's value (about $8000 per BTC), that would be about $9504 value, so you basically would double up your money by taking the refund route. Just a thought.

anyway, people, miner, friends, and baikal ...
happy thanksgiving ...
the asic market is still highly seller's market, only 3 to 4 players available in the market with limited number of miners ...
especially for baikal, with specialty in certain algos ... which means no competitor at all ... what every company in such situation would do? monopoly ... right? and anyway there will be buyers
