https://medium.com/bakkt-blog/putting-bakks-bitcoin-futures-to-the-test-47e381b7dda1

"On July 22, two days after Apollo 11’s 50th anniversary, Bakkt will initiate user acceptance testing for its bitcoin futures listed and traded at ICE Futures U.S. and cleared at ICE Clear US," White said, in the astronaut-themed post.
...
Both contracts will see a minimum price fluctuation of $2.50 per bitcoin (with each contract containing one bitcoin). Trades may be executed at $0.01 per bitcoin, with a listing cycle that can last for as long as 12 months (for the monthly contract) or 70 consecutive eligible contract dates (for the daily contract)."

Bakkt Alley Found
One of the most anticipated institutional Bitcoin products that was set to launch at the start of this year has now opted to get to market through a different route. Rather than waiting for approval for their physically-settled Bitcoin futures to be approved by the  U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the ICE-backed company is said to self-certify, a method opted previously by both the CME and the CBOE who listed futures at the end of 2017 without objections. Launch dates remain unclear, but the company said that it will begin testing in July.

The CFTC recognizes state bank and and trust licenses, and could let ICE list futures through a self-certification process if it obtains permission from New York’s Department of Financial Services to hold tokens, said one of the people. The CFTC, which doesn’t police the spot market for Bitcoin, is still likely to require public comment on Bakkt or have an ICE panel that assess risks approve the futures contracts, the person said.

Quote
One JP Morgan trader took a few moments to give us a little color on how they see and talk about Bakkt:

“Bakkt is the only place we’d approach Bitcoin and the crypto space. Any and all other ‘set ups’ just don’t rise to the legal standard that is acceptable risk for us. Bakkt is the only place that passes that test. Whether we are there as soon as the door opens, or window shop for a few months, it is the only name we are considering in terms of client funds finding their way into crypto.”

Ca reste a verifier mais on parle d'avril maintenant :

https://www.longhash.com/news/bakkt-bitcoin-etf-fail-to-get-green-light-amid-us-government-shutdown

Quote
The Bakkt delay is due to the fact that the company requires the approval of the US’s Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). According to information obtained by Longhash, the shutdown has moved that approval date back to April.

https://cryptopotato.com/bakkt-futures-by-ice-is-now-supported-by-worlds-23rd-richest-man-li-ka-shing/

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/tiny/bakkt-might-not-get-the-necessary-approvals-to-meet-its-target-launch-date-in-january-2019/

Quote
While CFTC staff members have finished reviewing Bakkt’s exemption request, the commission has yet to cast votes on whether or not the proposal should be put out for public comment. If the commission does vote for public comments for the proposal, there would be a 30-day comment period, followed by a review of these comments. Because Monday and Tuesday are federal holidays, the earliest date the commission would be able to vote is on Wednesday, December 26. A 30-day comment period starting on December 26, would be January 25, 2019 — a day over Bakkt’s target of January 24. Furthermore, this does not take into account the fact that the commission would still need to read the public comments, which would delay the launch even further.

CFTC staff is currently reviewing ICE’s business plan. CFTC commissioners will likely vote on whether to approve the project early in 2019, after which the public will have 30 days to weigh in.

Donc finalement WSJ donnait quasiment l'info dès avant-hier.  Undecided
