I'm not really a fan of the Yellow + Purple.. first because the yellow is too light and gets hard to read, second because it reminds me of LA Lakers.. not Batman.
Shouldn't it be yellow and dark blue, just to keep the theme?

although we didn't want to make a logo contest as we have a designer in the team
we started to receive some logos from the community
we are now thinking to make a contest out of it, and let the users to pick the new logo

I would say stop using clip art or images you've found from the net or you could get in serious trouble for copyright infringement.

Should work towards that as well since if it has value and is being accepted somewhere it should already solidify a price and possibly help it look more tangible to an exchange.
