Selling 40k BQC - 1 btc (as its hashrate and diff increases)
Anyone interested pm me

ps. For those saying "its a fun coin not meant to be traded", an exchange (c4n10's one) is opening for all the alt coins as far as i know, and it includes bqc too

I believe your post should be in the trading section?

Nice, some sort of changelog and version numbering would be nice on that download page. Brings that little extra professional look on things. Good work with the website anyways!
[/quote]

I will sort that out on the site, I am only just getting into the development side of things so I am learning as I go, the only change is that I have changed the client logo to one that Figroll designed for me as I thought it looked really strange having the Litecoin logo with it.

The client itself has not been changed, as in the inner workings, I just worked on the aesthetics of the logo.

Should I just add this as text under the download link?

I am going to change the download location too, to my own site, as I really don't like the free file hosting sites at all.

New BBQcoin Windows client update released at http://bbqcoin.org

The update adds a proper icon to the client, removing the original Litecoin one.

Thanks goes to Figroll for the design.

got new transfer:

 2013-03-03 10:17  +1.3371337 BQC

also, just for fun , calculated a minimum market cap of BQC - 34,6 BTC   Smiley  thats including coins destroyed by Greedi

Seems to work nicely  Roll Eyes

Btw. how did you calculate the current BQC market cap?

since there is no market per say, i cant calculate market cap, but i can aproximate maximum and minimum  predictable cap using mark to market comparison to all other cryptos.

during diff changes profitability of mining them varies 50-150%  we can assume BQC should be it the same area

then i tested some mining and determined 2230khs  could get me 1540BQC per hour

with current btc diff i can mine 0,0107 btc with that hashpower

and there you have a ratio:  0,00000695 BTC/BQC  [0,0107/1540]

minimum  ratio  is @ 50% profitability @ 0,00000348 BTC/BQC

313155 blocks of 42 coins is 13152510 coins  and 45,7 BTC market cap.

but when mining only from time to time we can get a little more coins pet hour geting a lower price and a 34,6 cap.

the most propable market cap and maximum market cap is much harder to determine.
its not simply a 100% and 150% profitability.

if exchange would come, we could see creazy diff jump, so max price is unknown

but current superlow supporters-only hashpower would survive anything other than 51% so minimum cap is quite accurate

That's great, thanks for doing that. The more exposer the better really.

The difficulty is already upto 0.035 whereas a few weeks ago it was 0.0001.

That's good news, the less that BBQcoin is worth, monetary wise, then the more fun it is in my eyes.

It would be great if this coin could just be worth something to the people that use it but not against an actual currency but against itself.

actualy "what is it worth to the people that use it" is the only way i was able to guess it's price.

also, I updated info and links for BBQ in "the list" stickie post

It is such a fast chain and runs so smooth. I am still looking into getting rid of all the Litecoin branding though lol.

Its taking my time but it is worth it as I like BBQcoin.

this is my address:

bX8dy3vXyFEAJmAk97bodEuHY1i562U1gw

I have now 14 -15  active connections.

tested mining @ 2000kh/s getting 15% rejects so network is not ready for big miners, but for cpu is ok.

since my address is listed here, some people might be intrested if their transfers are ok, so here is a list what i got:

 2013-02-12 05:21     +6.00 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:48  +500.00 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:49    +4.201 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:49    +77.00 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:49 +9.74205 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:50     +10.00 BQC
 2013-03-03 06:19  +1.00; 4.10; 1.00; 0.01; 5.00; 20.00; 5.00 BQC

I there, thanks to myself and Figroll we have some cosmetic changes for the BBQcoin that will help to move it away from a Litecoin branding. Can anyone give us a very basic guide on how to do this?

I have already added the custom splash screen and the client Icon to the source but I nee help with the re building of the BBqcoin-qt client.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

I can see that.. I am not getting any blocks tho using poolers cpuminer.. any reason as to why? It doesnt tell me anything except for ~4.2k/h per thread and debug says getwork took 1ms

wait until u find a block, then u see more Wink

Since the windows binaries don't have a daemon, running the qt will enable me solo mining with the cpuminer?
What I should config?
(I only have tested the built-in but it sucks, wih Litecoin and cpuminer I got 3x the hash speed)

Hi, you don't need that daemon because this bbqcoin-qt.exe can be started with -server parameter. Does your miner detect any new blocks on network?
