this is my address:

bX8dy3vXyFEAJmAk97bodEuHY1i562U1gw

I have now 14 -15  active connections.

tested mining @ 2000kh/s getting 15% rejects so network is not ready for big miners, but for cpu is ok.

since my address is listed here, some people might be intrested if their transfers are ok, so here is a list what i got:

 2013-02-12 05:21     +6.00 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:48  +500.00 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:49    +4.201 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:49    +77.00 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:49 +9.74205 BQC
 2013-02-21 06:50     +10.00 BQC
 2013-03-03 06:19  +1.00; 4.10; 1.00; 0.01; 5.00; 20.00; 5.00 BQC

I there, thanks to myself and Figroll we have some cosmetic changes for the BBQcoin that will help to move it away from a Litecoin branding. Can anyone give us a very basic guide on how to do this?

I have already added the custom splash screen and the client Icon to the source but I nee help with the re building of the BBqcoin-qt client.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

I can see that.. I am not getting any blocks tho using poolers cpuminer.. any reason as to why? It doesnt tell me anything except for ~4.2k/h per thread and debug says getwork took 1ms

wait until u find a block, then u see more Wink

Since the windows binaries don't have a daemon, running the qt will enable me solo mining with the cpuminer?
What I should config?
(I only have tested the built-in but it sucks, wih Litecoin and cpuminer I got 3x the hash speed)

Hi, you don't need that daemon because this bbqcoin-qt.exe can be started with -server parameter. Does your miner detect any new blocks on network?

The CPU-mining built into the client is not as efficient as dedicated CPU-mining programs.

A pooled mining has higher speed compared to a solo mining?

no it should be nearly the same.
And normally it should be equal if you are mining on litecoin-QT or bbqcoin-QT

no i get the same numbers.. hashes are around 4.20 k/hour (per thread) in poolers cpuminer and about half that while mining in the bbqcoin client.

normally, you should be able to use the build-in mining feature of the QT client.
But as I can not see what the miner is doing, I am using the ufasoft cpu miner.

the configuration is like for litecoin, you have to create a bbqcoin.conf in the directoty where the wallet.dat is in. (except the port is another one)

I can post my configuration if you still have problems to connect your miner.

edit: just saw you wrote you are getting a lower speed that with litecoin. I think you are not solo-mining litecoin with a cpu ?

MarkM have made the fix to the source, so any future builds should be fine. Whoever built the windows client probably did not have those two faulty checkpoints, or they removed/updated them before building. Because of the low diff, you need to scan the client frequently for new blocks. In any case, you should set the scantime to 1 for local clients to make sure the miner and the client are in sync as much as possible. This applies to any coins. In cgminer you either set it in the command line when you start, or you press S to go into settings, then S for setting scan time.

Thanks! This scantime tweak got rid of (nearly?) all of my rejects. Too bad not all people here have their donation addresses in their signatures. I would like to thank people about good answers with a little tip and I think many people could share this feeling.

Agreed and agreed with casino and pizzas  Grin.

Also, Tesla71, Have you set your scantime to 1 second? This is the interval cgminer scans the pool/client for new blocks. It defaults to 60.

No.. looks much better now  Cheesy

I am running it on linux, so it will not be the same binary. I built from "official" source committed to by MarkM just 6 days ago though.

CaptChadd, I would be interested to see what your client  says the hashes are for blocks 86425 and 303403.

"Debug window" under Help menu should give you the debug window. Then you click on the Console tab to get to the console.

Enter "getblockhash 86425" and "getblockhash 303403".

Please post your output.

I'm running on windows and all seems to be fine.

getblockhash 86425   5bb676c3ea2d9cdc2589e7fa53874c425317aa9dadf0ae503fb7cf804cab9762

getblockhash 303403   6d7493ffc82a9553cf20ffca41ace762c3e4e7db4fe6f820675cdf387116342f

I still get quite many "Rejected 00767243 Diff 553/261 BLOCK! GPU 0" messages from CGMiner, but I also get accepted blocks. Are these rejected blocks some sort of indication of problems or what is the cause of them?

EDIT: I'm using FuzzyBears http://95.138.187.100/bbq.zip client, should I upgrade to some other version to benefit something?
