a 10x gain would put Boolberry at a $260m market cap, while a 100x gain would put Boolberry at a $2.6b market cap which would be just 1/3rd the valuation of Monero.
for perspective.
One thing to consider when comparing XMR to BBR marketcap is scarcity. Monero has roughly 5 million more coins in circulation than Boolberry even though they were both launched within weeks of each other. This would require Boolberry to have a much higher PPC than Monero to achieve parity in marketcap.
At marketcap of $6,240,073,570:
XMR = 15,578,403
$400.56
BBR = 10,720,038
$582.09
Do you realistically think we have a shot at competing with Monero at their current market cap or do you think we are shooting for sub $1B?
Looking forward to the new upgrades coming out soon for BBR and watching BBR compete for top privacy coin!!
Yes. I believe Boolberry will surpass Monero's marketcap once it gains momentum and recognition as the privacy leader in research and development but first we need to get BBR listed on an established exchange like Kucoin (underway) to be able to handle the increased trading volume that goes along with it.
There are various elements that go into attaining and sustaining a top tier marketcap:
- research backed by leading professors in their respective fields (check)
- experienced developers (check)
- rigorous testing cycles (check)
- usability (check - improvements underway)
- long term holders (check)
- healthy community (growing)
- marketing outreach (underway)
Monero has a first mover advantage on the marketing side, but that isn't a big deal. It just makes it that much easier to market Boolberry as the better project. The team spearheading our marketing efforts for BBR will close that gap with their eyes closed in a fraction of the time and without pulling some bullshit type Oasis exit scam to get a foot in the door with the mainstream media. Social media tends to provide a good indication of marketing success. After four years of marketing efforts they only have 89k subs on Reddit and 220k twitter followers.. our guys should be able to achieve that within a few months after outreach begins.
From an academic perspective: our research is far beyond anything under development or capable of being designed by anyone working on Monero. Our new paper "Boolberry V2: An Efficient and Compact Anonymous E-cash System via Ring Signatures" is in the process of being proof read and submitted to IACR for publication. After that is out in the open everyone will be able to see which project is the real leader for privacy, efficiency and security in this space and which is the amateur project running on borrowed time.
Monero's lead "developer" is a troll with commit access. On the other hand, Boolberry's lead developer is an actual developer with more knowledge about the Cryptonote protocol than anyone on this forum, or anywhere else for that matter. In my view, Zoidberg is the Satoshi of Cryptonote and I have no doubts once this project starts gaining momentum, developers will prefer contributing to a project that's lead by someone who is actually knowledgeable about the underlying system than a forum troll.
Here's some history but still relevant. I find it ironic that fluffypony is trying to take the moral high ground in this exchange when he's attacked numerous projects over the years.. I guess he doesn't practice what he preaches lol
So is Boolberry's "get ahead" plan to openly insult others in their thread? So much for
jl777's claim of us being "cryptonote brothers".
Look, it's been a rough couple of days, and we're all completely exhausted from sitting on the edge of our seat waiting for some phantom attack. You go and drop this bomb-shell of a post on Bitcointalk about how you've found some breaking issue that affects every CN coin and say that you urgently need to alert all of the exchanges. Understandably, given the context and the apparent looming threat, we're going to look at the commit and assume this is something that needs urgent attention. We made a judgement call, added it, and reverted the commit within minutes.
Now you may say that we're not cautious enough. You may call us reactionary under pressure. You may even rightfully say that we are unfamiliar with a codebase we did not write. All of this is true. But to say we "have no idea what [we] do", and to personally insult me? That's uncalled for and unnecessary, and is a terribly weak attempt to make yourself look good. Let me save you the hassle for next time: you are a very accomplished coder. Clearly you can churn out code like
there's no tomorrow. There, now next time you won't feel the need to insult me or insult us, you can just quote this post and pat yourself on the back.
You need to seriously give some thought to the way your very public actions reflect on the cryptocurrency that you and you alone control.
hey, man, may be there is no tomorrow for Monero, but not for
Boolberry.
fluffypony, didn't know that you so sensetive after all that you was saing before about me and our project.
But, anyway i'm pleased to know that you trust me so much that pull my commits without even read it.
Notice: If someone want to push few exploits into monero code, you know how to reach me PS: Storm is over, relax and have a some fun, eveyone do mistakes, don't take seriously my joke.
Moving forward, Boolberry's blockchain is about 4GB or so and Monero's is around 60GB, meanwhile both were launched at the same time.. Zoidberg had the foresight to develop a solution that is 10x more efficient than theirs coupled with our new ring design it will further guarantee that improved privacy doesn't have to sacrifice efficiency or scaling.
Pretty soon traders will start questioning why they are paying $400 for XMR when BBR was launched around the same time, is at $3, has 5 million less coins, a smaller blockchain, superior research and development.
So yeah, all things considered - I am very confident BBR will be surpassing XMR this year. We have rockstar research, development and marketing teams working towards a common goal of an improved Boolbery. Zoidberg has some great and unique updates coming over to Boolberry. In particular, the Poof-of-Stake hybrid concept which will square us right up with Dash's Masternodes model and our new ring design will re-establish Boolberry as the benchmark Cryptonote project.
