He messaged me as well. Perhaps he knows of a marketplace where bcn is traded at a much higher price and thinks he can arbitrage.

I found that they have changed music on https://bytecoin.org/. Now there's something popular  Cool

i received the message from a man who wants to buy all my BCN
he asked me to add a buy order for 100,000,000 BCN to spreadsheet. looks strange.

from the user godimtired? got the same message and pointed him to the spreadsheet
yes, him

He asked me too.

Oddly perhaps, he did NOT ask me. ?

Not this type of giveaways... Anyway, I think there is no more coins left (I applied and received nothing :/)

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Oh I see. It's just that all the people replying to the thread are doing it wrong. It seems the letter of the giveaway ban is being followed although the intent is a bit of a fail.

I'd like to see a blockchain explorer to see if it's actually anonymous.

Last Difficulty is 661742 - i guess mining in solo getting worthless.
Any experience in minergate.com mining? Is it the only Bytecoin pool?

It's anonymous enough... at least from my perspective. The only criticism I've heard is it uses elliptic curve cryptography, which is vulnerable to Shor's algorithm and thus would be useless against quantum computers. There's also rumours that the NSA promotes ECC because they know of a weakness it has. Even if that were the case, I doubt it's so easily breakable that they can start tracing people's transactions willy nilly.

The biggest question of all though, is it anonymous? From what I've heard no one so far has accomplished this, and if this coin is what it's claimed to be, that is big news!

Looks like i decoded the message

<--! Part2  13:4 ,5 ,16:3 ,16 ,19:1 ,15 ,22:3 ,11 ,5:7, 14, 10:5 -->

the 13:4 (word:letter) etc refers to the song lyrics and corresponds to the letters k e l o i g, the normal letters can be found in the normal alphabet and correspond to e p o k n. Combined it says keep looking

are you a cryptographer?

lol not really, im just trying things that would make sense

he asked me to add a buy order for 100,000,000 BCN to spreadsheet. looks strange.

first little bull child Smiley
The question is - who is that guy with 25BTC who wants to buy BCN?
Another strange thing -  is his appearance is related with Bytecoin.org updates about API, stores, etc?
He could be just a profit hunter with bulling manners, or maybe, if he is apart of a Bytecoin secret community he wants to show us today’s "fair" (in his mind) Bytecoin price.

Any way is there anyone who owns more that 10Mill bytecoin today here?
Just want to understand the average miner here.
Thanks.

I currently have about 3M BCNs.

I think something is happening. Changed music, updated API, buying everything we might possibly have mined. What's next?

I didn't say "they are preparing the infrastructure"

I would rather say they are working with their infrastructure. I believe in large anonymous community of good people

Oops, missed the news message and was just reading the wiki article. Was thinking you refered to that.. Didn't noticed there are already actual services and stores running on the chain. Wow

So, like DStrange mentioned they are preparing the infrastructure for services that can be built on top. If the news is on the clearweb then expect it to be useable on the clearweb (and other regions of the web ofcourse) Wink

services and stores? high level API?

And where are those? Deep deep web again?

The API consists of 3 blocks:

Node API. This interface defines methods for blockchain operations and set of callback operations for client notification.
Wallet API. This interface defines methods for wallet operations and callbacks. Based on these methods clients can implement any kind of wallets (standalone wallets, thin wallets or HTTP/TCP/UDP clients)
Miner API. Miner API determines an interface for mining pools and solo miners. To be designed.
