It is better not to be involved in such bounty, than playing around it and getting caught in the process. That is, falling victim of what you have been warned of. There are several campaigns in the crypto space, most especially those with simple requirements. You can take part in such and you will not have any problem and neither will you be in doubt or be afraid of losing your fund in the process.

Unfortunately, we have more and more such requirements. If I participate in such campaigns, I download those apps exactly on mobile phone. If it requires to install an app on computer, I just ignore this campaign. My computer is too important, so no! 
For stealing the personal information the scammers found a new way, downloading the required application for phone can damage the main memory with malicious software which is able to steal the stored private keys. Extracting the private key from the crypto wallet apps is very easy for these mentioned applications, so I advise you to be very careful within such cases. Totally agree with you. It has already been proven that applications such as banking are capable of extracting any information from the device, and hacking a similar application can compromise the data on your device. In view, do not use mobile wallets that store private keys and seed phrases on the device itself. MEW Connect is a good example of an application that does not store anything on your device.

It is the easiest way to steal you information from the app campaign. Be advised and never download a strange apps, especially when you need to install a trust certificate (IOS). Such apps can send all your personal info to creators.

I am not discouraging hunters to join bounty campaigns that requires you to download their app or wallet. This is just a friendly reminder to everyone that we should be careful since there have been some malicious apps used to collect personal information and steal funds from mobile/pc. There were also instances where hackers were able to exploit the vulnerabilities of some apps.
If you still wish to continue and download their app, at least take some measures like not storing your private keys/seed phrase in your phone/pc to protect your funds.

Agree, it is true that not all applications that we download are safe because many applications steal our personal data and even the files on our phone. We must always make sure what data can be shared through permissions in our phone settings

Thats right, we must be careful when joining in campaign requiring participants to download their app because there's a risk that might compromise our infos/funds.
I prefer to join in bounties with not much requirements to install in pc or phone.

I once followed an airdrop project where to receive tokens I had to download the application directly from their website, this made my mobile phone error. Now, I learn from this mistake. I download app from PlayStore only. It's better and secure.
Yes, these are censored applications and are safe for our phones. Never download applications through 3rd parties

This is just a friendly reminder to everyone that we should be careful since there have been some malicious apps used to collect personal information and steal funds from mobile/pc. Unlike windows, Android is a safer platform and they don't have full access to sensitive info and right to read over other apps. You can just read their permission and never give administrator privilege and display over other app permission to them. It's also wise not to store your wallet's backup without any encryption in your storage.

You can been careful with many bounty campaign using download wallet platform, so far I joined only with minexcoin have download wallet but after Minexcoin bounty campaign is ended, now I am only joined bounty campaign using erc20 wallet or using other platform wallet without have to download first.

You're right. it is really very important to protect your devices from potential threats. Personally, I use a separate device, an inexpensive tablet, to install various applications, and on it I install the applications that are required to participate in a particular bounty company. At the same time, I do not store important information on this tablet, thereby I secured my data.
This is a good approach to prevent malicious malwares that might attack your phone. It is not worth the risk if you have other things at stake if you use your main phone for these bunch of apps that you don't even know if you will really utilize it or not. I bet most of them are just garbage piling up on your phone and only few of them have real usage in your day to day life.

We should discourage them actually, when you are doing bounty you are asked to do that in exchange for points and tokens, it should be optional, CPA people are now using bounty campaign just to make money out of them, bounty hunters should first analyze and very discreet when downloading anything in their computer or cellphone, just for a token that has no value.

Careful indeed needs to download the application as a condition for participation or claim reward. Usually there are projects that utilize bounty hunters to download their applications. If it's safe isn't the real problem, what is feared is that if it (the application) carries a virus against the computer that is being used it will definitely be dangerous. Therefore if you are told to download the application, see the application first.

Yeah, there must be a disclamer on Bitcointalk to prevent/awake the members because we all know that there's alot of newbie members and traders that can be fooled easily and scammed. That might turn Bitcoin talk into a jungle full of scams. Peoples should have more attention when joining suspecious bounty programs. Safety comes first my dear bounty hunters.

Not all that glitters is gold. That's why its important to take your time and find out about the project you dealing with. Some may appear genuine but may turn out to be fake at the end. We shouldn't be moved by projects that offer unreasonable tokens and let's be mindful and careful of bounty campaigns with this 'download app' requirement. This may all be scammers doing.

Thanks for a friendly advice. Today apps should be examine before downloading to prevent instant stealing of private key and password. It is devastating once loss your tokens. I'll experienced to loss my tokens before. Very disappointing to have nothing. Take care all

I do not really like projects where they ask to download a mobile application because there may be a virus and then my cryptocurrencies will go to a scammer. Before downloading, you always need to check everything with antivirus and then decide whether to download it or not.
That is basically why most of those projects are just after people to download. You see some projects making some very great offers and you wonder what they stand to gain, they stand nothing to gain at that moment, but they stand to gain a lot when the time comes for them to attack after the phishing software that is attached to the software has been activated, they will be able to control majority of the whole transaction. Sometimes we see that when we send some coins, it redirects to another address and many of scam activities, these are exactly the things that usually cause those unusual activities on or account. There are several cases where I have even see my mail having an attempt to be broken, it could be because of some of these applications installed on our phones or computer.
