I very often use exchanges, which are the highest rated and have only positive reviews.  Nevertheless, thanks to Bounty companies and air drops, I get all sorts of coins that are traded on exchanges from which I have never even heard of.  Based on this, I am forced to use such trading exchanges that inspire me to a certain degree of confidence.

Bookmarking your exchange url would be ideal but alternatively you can trade via api.

Website login vs having your own api keys to do trading.

Thank you for warning us, once I recieve email from the others I do not click the link and even they have free coins or tokens they offer to me I will not take my risk my information. That startegy is old for me because they have incidents like that they email you and by clicking the link their provide they get your information even your password don't trust easily protect yourself from the hacker.

Avoid doing the same thing as other traders did, they're risking themselves over dangerous phishing sites that could steal their private keys. Most of the fake exchange sites was the strategies of the phishers, and they used to carbon copy the site's appearance with some tricky letters added to their URL. Everybody should be aware of this and this wouldn't be tolerated, because your thousands or million worth asset might be gone in one glance when sudden attack will happen.

Totally agree with you. Don't let scammers to steal your personal information. Btw, if you want to find worthy trading platform i'd strongly recommend you Monfex. It's a reliable site and i've been trading there for 3 months. So don;t be afreaid to use it.

I had the same problem with fake exchanges. But for me it ended up sadly - I understood that too late when I already lost a big part of my altcoins. Be careful guys and don't forget to check exchange reviews!
If we know how to do a simple research, we won't become a victim of fake exchanges.
By simply looking at the list https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/ and make some review check, there's no way we will be scam.
I agree with you, this is the way I use to go to the exchanges. Wink

For those of you traders, please be careful with fake exchanges, because I found a VERY SAME exchange that makes no difference at all like the exchange on EtherDelta, the fake exchange link that I saw I got from my Gmail inbox, which message it was contains about giving tokens like AIRDROP, and there I am given a registration form link and in the form there is a fake EtherDelta link, and this is the link http://EtherDelta.website, and this is the original EtherDelta link https://etherdelta.com/. There is no difference at all in the two exchanges, the images, features and others are exactly the same, so please be careful.

Secure your private key, secure your wallet, do not easily believe things that invite you to get rich instantly, do not easily trust advertisements, because crime is not just at one door, who knows there are many other fake exchanges, therefore be careful.

You mean to say if the website is http:// this is fake website or a kind of phishing site? is this right?
thanks for the tips like this mate, it would be a great help not only for me but of course to any member of this
forum.

Another tip mate, try to bookmark the website you are visiting so you can be sure it's the same site you access and that will also prevent you from getting phish.

This is the tip my friend told me.

I did bookmarked most of the sites that my friend warned me about and all of them are taken down these days. I think the same goes for the people that are still a victim of scamming since there are those people that still forget or did not know the sites they are saying or stating.

Thank you for the info,
a little suggestion, always note every exchange that we visit, write down the full website address, because only the website address can't be copied, and I always correct every address of the exchanger I visit, and until the reef is safe.
just a little advice from me, hopefully can help and make us more careful.

I got dozens of those emails in my inbox too ,what I want to ask is how did they know my email?is this through filling up forms and registering for airdrops? Because its getting too much .I don't use new exchanges because of scam artists ,I only use old exchanges.

when you fill form for fake airdrops, you are invariably selling out your email address to spammers. make sure you avoid using the same email for both Airdrops and exchange platform registration. else you will fail victim or your account getting hacked.

you have to be very careful about the fake exchange also binance often has strange symbols in the letters do not log in absolutely means that you are in another site, however with the 2 factor authenticator you are very safe because it changes constantly and is difficult to find in your account

Nevertheless, there are still ratings of cryptocurrency exchanges that make it possible for users of a cryptocurrency to make the right choice.  The bitcointalk forum has a lot of information that will not let you down when searching for the right choice.  I also do not understand why use little-known trading platforms, putting my funds at great risk.

Before you use some new exchange do the due diligence. Check their business, ownership, trustworthy, everything you can. Don't let some fake promises about good profit, low fees and similar misguide you. If anything at all looks suspicious to you, avoid it.
Also, you can find a list of trustworthy exchanges with good references and user experiences. Sometimes it's better to play safe.

There are so many scams nowadays. A few days ago crypto exchange BitMarket, suddenly closes down because of ‘loss of liquidity’ we will never know how much truth there is, however, it didn't look legit from the beginning nevertheless a lot of people have lost their money. So the key is to do some research and compare some exchanges, analyze some rankings etc.

Don't use exchange platforms from unknown links, always bookmark exchange site which is always used and keep your private key safe. This is the best advice to avoid phishing.

This very important advice especially for newbie. I think the site has gone offline but I bet they would create lots of similar fake exchanges to scam inexperienced people and to make detecting them difficult

That is why it is good practice to bookmark exchanges that you trade with. Have a second look at the URL before you start to open up a registration and export you private key which will expose your fund to the criminal called scammer. We really need to be extra watchful on the kind of link we follow and avoid any too good to be true get rich scheme pretending to be airdrop

Genuinely appreciate the friendly reminder, it's easy to get comfortable and slip if you are familiar with the real version of the service provider. It definitely cares to pay extra attention in this industry.

I think there are enough trusted exchanges now. it's just that, many people are exchanging in a personal way, and this is quite dangerous. well, I found this on social media. in this case, I sometimes choose friends that I know and trust. this is good enough to avoid risk.
I do not fully agree that today a lot of scammers have divorced in the cryptocurrency market.  In addition, there are various phishing sites that are trying by all means to get your secret keys, doing sites such as DEX.  But it is still possible that there are dishonest people in the administration on certain trading markets, such as it happened with hit btc.
