for now there are quite a lot of fraudulent exchanges and also the exchange process is not clear. this is indeed very detrimental to investors and users
This is a very important point. Differences in the address bar may be minimal. I never follow unfamiliar links. You have to be very careful to keep your capital.
The other point which I will like to mention that many of them often advertise on google search engine so when you search the name of a particular exchange on google then on the top you will see that fake exchange listed in advertisement section.
Do what ever you need to do to secure your private key. Always be careful of everywebsite that you login always be careful because they other who copy the exchanges site who are real so they will open your account and your coins gone for sure if that happen.
Ya, I just got a kick int the @$$. The idea was awesome. Drop Eth in changelly, which works w/o a doubt, then take the Btc to coinswap.ac and exchange for slightly more Eth. Coinswap.ac "took the $$ and..... nothing 😤.

For those of you traders, please be careful with fake exchanges, because I found a VERY SAME exchange that makes no difference at all like the exchange on EtherDelta, the fake exchange link that I saw I got from my Gmail inbox, which message it was contains about giving tokens like AIRDROP, and there I am given a registration form link and in the form there is a fake EtherDelta link, and this is the link http://EtherDelta.website, and this is the original EtherDelta link https://etherdelta.com/. There is no difference at all in the two exchanges, the images, features and others are exactly the same, so please be careful.

I think there's an extension that can filter these fake websites as well as if you are in eth based exchange, metamask can do that filtering I guess. But for the general advice, it's way better to just save in your bookmarks the official ones and don't just click the link in the emails or anywhere.

Even though the original page has been bookmarked but sometimes it is redirected to phishing sites without us knowing it, even there are cases where the wallet we copy turns into hacker wallet automatically. I am sure this can happen because of viruses that is lodged in the computer. So in order to avoid hacking attack, phishing sites or viruses it is better to use different PC (specifically for work / only for browsing and playing games).

If we want to trade cryptocurrencies, the first thing that should do is to find a reliable exchange wherein it has a high security that can protect our money. We will lose our money if we find a fake exchange or a exchange that have low security.
Yeah be careful but even with that you may fall in their frauds , Remember what happened to MTGOX , or recently upbit exchange has been acued to manipulating its market and transferred some money , I just wanted to say that even big exchanges can turn into the scam and you need to be careful about using every exchange not only small ones .

Yes we should be careful because there's a Hacker every where and then there is a fake exchanges so that we should be a safety first before we Enter a Exchanges. The point is you do not easily believe something that will make you get a big profit like an offer to get money or anything and most importantly we must always check the right link. They can cheat with phishing links and ordinary people are very easy to click on the obscure link. Be careful!
