This is one of the best thread in this forum. It is a word of encouragement. But I most say the truth. This forum as it is. It is very boring compared to the first time I came to the forum. Now All activities are just stagnant. People would make post for about one week yet no single comment as been dropped. What is really happening to the activeness of the forum? Although I have learned more but the truth most be told. The forum is boring. The Moderators and admin should please revive the forum. I see this forum is going to be one of the greatest one in the internet community. And it will be more than any other social media platforms. Facebook has never been boring. The only issue with Facebook is. It full with Scammers.
I agree with some of the points _BlackStar has said about you, and I just wanted to add a few for you. Please don't blame the forums and admins and moderators for whatever you're feeling right now on the forum. I would say this forum will be a lot of fun when you know how to use it even if you don't want to promote any signature campaign.

There are lots of interesting discussions we can have among other contributors, it's not just about money but it might give you a chance to know something interesting about the crypto world both technically and other general knowledge. I'd say this forum is still pretty fun for me so far and I'm very sorry to know you get bored easily even though you just signed up in 2021.

I'd really like to know what the underlying reason is for saying this forum is boring, I hope you don't mind letting me know. Also, moderators and admin are not responsible for making this forum less boring for one or two users because basically only users can change their own mindset to make their activity here enjoyable.

You must have interest, it will help you to have more interesting discussion. Contribute to the community, learn something useful, and all that will help you stay here longer with a less volatile mood. But what needs to be considered is not to lose motivation to do the best for yourself, not for others.

Often times here, some new forum users have been unable to develop consistency in their contributions here mainly as a result of frustration. They abandon their accounts here before they can get their footing and become an important contributor to various discussions, how sad Embarrassed...and how we other forum users have missed out on another maybe perhaps golden perspective.

This is a wake up call to newbies especially, and all those who are considering quitting forum.

-Your opinions are valid and we want you to stay. Big things always start small, don't get discouraged because there seems to be no attention on your post and no merits given regardless of your activity.

-Even if your contribution get deleted and you get criticism for your point of view, don't get discouraged, work on yourself to be better, but still remain yourself.

-If it is taking you very long to increase in ranks and you almost feel like it will not be possible anytime soon, don't get discouraged, you will get there.

It is okay to take some time off, but please do not cut us off from your perhaps golden contribution.

Using myself for instance, at first when I started in the process I was perturbed by the whole thing and slow growth. That I had to shut down from the forum for so many months, not until this year around January/February I had to come back based on certain motivations and encouragements I was getting from a local group I am engaged in, and from thence my determination developed strong and from just a newbie now am in a member rank.

So to every newbie out there, don't give up even if it looks like your efforts ain't been observed and yet appreciated, just keep doing your thing the right way. Gradually you will hit the top.
If the lazy me can hit the member rank today, then for sure you can go beyond it.

Being a newbie isn't that easy though everyone here was ones a newbie and do understand the circumstances and challenges that surrounds a newbie, and as such it would be of great pillar to many newbie's should they get some level of encouragement and mentorship especially from persons they don't have any connections with (no form of relativeness).

That not withstanding it takes oens determination to go far and think such determination is what every newbie needs in themselves before a third party can come in.

Patience and resilience actually pays off ,consistency ensures efficiency, a learner becomes a master when he is willing to learn ,take corrections,do research and note and apply the corrections giving to him when taking another trial, everyone's opinion do counts but how you go about it is what matters. The experience members paid a price of patience before becoming a proffessional ,you can be greater only if you are patient enough and take correction.

I have at most enjoyed contents that talk about being patient. To say the truth it is quite difficult to be in a position where patience is all needed to see a worthy end. Even pregnant women might find it hard to be patient because whether one likes to believe it or not, situations will arise with varying tests just to prove you arent worth the wait it or otherwise. Still, unlike sages would say the,'patient dog will get the fattest bone'. I am often times discouraged when i am losing focus going after a worthy task, not because i cant continue, but because the variables that might make one consider quitting might just be greater and if one has no pair of ears to express oneself to or better still one with a feathered hat to give solid advise or pat on the back for the effort so far, it might just result in quitting. The ultimate strength though comes from one being able to motivate oneself. Maybe this kind of strenght of will might come after a brief rest which i believe is necessary. I dont advise anyone to give up. Take a rest, solicit advise, advise yourself and always remember why you started.  Just watch how things play out. thanks

Thanks for this word of encouragement. There is a saying that the hardest test in life is the patience to wait for the right time. Sometimes if you are doing something you do not have passion for, you easily get discouraged and its easier to quit, but then even with the passion one needs encouraging words to keep going when things don't go as smooth as expected. At some point I was thinking one of my post wasn't relevant but recently I discovered people started noticing it and I've learnt a lot from the replies, seeing this made me happy and eager to press forward.
That was the thing...we don't have to think about ourselves that we had learned already, perhaps listening to criticism and some correction will help us in return. Newbie's life wasn't easy but because we wanted to improve and prove ourselves that we are worthy to stay here, then we have to work hard. Patience, self-confidence, and it all can be done if we are also motivated to do the job, to do the homework and most of all, if we never stop from learning.

No one are able to succeed in a very easy way, it all been in a hard way.

@op, God bless you for such a wonderful advice and encouragement, I can't help but say that all you said are all reality, I was a victim to this myself, I entered bitcointalk in 2016 and at some point in 2017, after the merit system was introduced, I got discouraged and abandoned this platform, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, I got back here towards the end of 2020 if I still remember, and since then, alot have changed, and am really thankful that I am here today, I've learnt alot, alot have changed, from my posting style to my way of interacting with other members, I've improved and still working to improve more.
Like you said, good things take time, how true.

Gone through many obstacles right before I found this prestigious platform and never will I let it slip off my fingertips as I've learnt so much since I got here. I used to be that kid who only follows influencer's post to put into an investment but all that dies the moment I found myself here. Here, I get to understand there's more to Bitcoin and every other alts out there. I believe I'm just learning my purpose on the crypto space.

what attracts each and everyone of us is different but we hope to achieve the same goal, only if we transcend our initial attraction. the forum might be loosing its essence when we only look at what we can gain and not what we can give. psychologically the reward system encourages each and everyone of us to give our best, but at some point in life, we look beyond the reward and see how we can impact in our lives and that of others. newbies want to gain merits and a lot  more, so some of us think, it could be true but even we shouldn't be discourage to encourage those that might have the potential to learn. other measures that are in place to control plagiarism and spamming is also good to control some excesses.

Its very painful and disappointing when your post is ignored, a post you composed taking a lot of time was never appreciated, it was ignored for a reason maybe you are still lack somethings an still not where you should be yet just know you still need to work on yourself and try again and again and someday all will definitely be fine

Viewing from an angle of a begginners, I Strongly belive that consistency is the key ,when we put to many efforts towards acheiving something then we will sure get it after several falls or failures, when we are resilience and willing to bounce back and give more trials until our aims are acheived.

We will be a total failure when finally quit and give up ,there is always room for rest for few days to cool off and restrategize to study to learn and see how the old and experienced old timers have been doing it .
For they say the patient Dog eats the fatest bone but this only works when you keep trying by not giving up..

What a beginner needs is to be consistent and he will surely get to where he is running to, consistency is fuel to every journey.  When consistency is missing the journey seems to be slow and the next thing to think about is giving up. Beginners should understand nothing just become bi, the legendaries we have in the forum start as a beginner bit consistency took them to where they have reached.

In fact, this forum is unique in that you can earn some money here, and, of course, this is what attracts newcomers here. But I know a few people, including myself, when, at some point, the value of a forum changes and making money is not the first priority. At first, I also made mistakes about participating in bounty programs, but fortunately, I quickly realized that I was more interested in reading and participating in the life of the forum.

I would very much like to advise everyone who is rushing to the ranks to walk patiently. History shows that at some point, the ranks increase along with the receipt of new and useful information.

If you are not interested in crypto you don't need to stay here. Most of the newbies are not here because of the crypto it self, but to make money.
I'm pretty sure that if another forum, for car parts for example, giving money for wearing signatures they will be sticking there all the time, and won't bother with crypto...

Where there is good amount of income offered, newbies will always go for it, regardless if they will be an asset or not in that particular field. Same with the forum, newbies here are mostly for money matters, and when they find it tough and hard to make profits, they end up quitting and leave the forum. If all newbies will have same mindset, then how will they grow in the future? I hope newbies will come to the forum responsible and should never resort into shortcuts, as learning will always be hard in the first place but for sure every hardwork and patience will certainly pay off in the end.

If their sole reason of being here is to increase their rank and earn money in the first place, then they'll likely just end up getting nowhere regardless if what advice you give anyway. Even just a small decent amount of passion and genuine interest is required for someone to strive here on this forum, which a lot of Newbies don't have.
If there is no passion and interest, newbies will find it hard to have patience and courage to stay long in the forum because they have no good motivation that will make them stay in the forum. Other than money, newbies these days are more self centered and are only after on how to level up their position because for them higher ranks means higher compensation. If that will be the norm, i guess the forum will no longer be effective and informative in the future.
I've seen some newbies rank who rise up to the top but the amount of information they have seems to be overqualified though I suspect they were older members who happens to have a change of heart. Though if you are a newbie and has nothing to contribute yet then start by reading and digging the previous post or explore the entire forum so that you will bump different topics and get used to know more about the topic. You never know if one day you might be the one sharing information just like the others.

Everyone in the forum started from a scratch before they have reached their high positions and earned good number of merits. And i guess if you want to succeed in your goal, you should always be ready to experience its tough times before you can reach its peak. This is a good reflection for newbies as they tend to quit easily whenever they experience losses or do mistakes in the forum. Committing mistakes is normal, but what makes its abnormal is that if you tend to make the same mistakes again and again without learning from all of those.
