You can't beat coinmarketcap, cause there's nothing to beat here. Coinmarketcap and all other similar sites should use just for basic info about some project, and even that basic info should be rechecked at some point. Bottom line is don't trust informational sites with everything you have, they can fake volumes, ranks, they can do what ever they want, and in the past they done it, many people believe in those informations with their money and they lost that money in the end.
Im with you in regards to these sentiments that theres nothing to be beaten on here yet this is just like on what other services do like.There would always be a similar platform that would really copy on the same service that it gives but dont actually have the difference since they are really just
basing on the same coins/projects.Also, CMC is been here for a while and im quite sure that majority here on cryptospace would definitely first think off
with cmc in regards on checking market prices and situation.
The only problem with CMC is sometimes they are feeding the wrong data from their users and allows small exchanger provide some fake data's. That's why I'm little bit confuse but actually I still keep using that site since CMC is so easy to use. And I don't really think that there are copycat site that will surpass their fame since for sure crypto users prefer CMC since as you said it is well established site where it is the first site came out to the mind of the people if they are thinking about checking the prices and data's.
Prices at coinmarketcap are not exact but average of large crypto exchanges. CMC has simple interface and in just one or two scrolls you get to know how crypto market is behaving. Don’t rely on CMC price list, check prices at exchange if you want exact picture of any crypto coin.
It isnt because its the overall average from all exchangers on where its being traded so those numbers arent precise but it isnt really a big issue yet theres no soo much gap or difference when it comes to price.
