Throwing on on Ether, Dash and considering Monero
I strongly suggest Ripple.
Ripple price not so interesting to me because the movement not so fast, I think waves is great choice.

so far bitcoin still the best cryptocurrency currency to collect even for long term period. because bitcoin has very big power to that case. in other hand i suggest ethereum as alternative coin to you if you wanna collect it for 5 years because it's becoming bigger alternative coin than other recent years.
there are two altcoins make me interest to invest longterm, ie SC and XRP. although their current value isn't too low, i am very optimistic they in the future have potential to achieve fantastic value. Many altcoins have managed to look great in marketcap, which in fact their initial value is very cheap.

Noticed Karmacoin being listed on yobit today. Price is 1 sat so have invested a small amount. Have set a selling price of 5 sat. Have no idea how this will perform but it is first time I have bought a newly listed coin.

Lol is the same as etherum a few years ago, the price is still under 1$ and it is now over $ 100. I think picking and buying a potential altcoin is a good idea. You might find and buy a potential altcoin that has a high price in the future and then because you keep it for long time then you can get rich because price pump in the future

Choose from among the top 50 coins. Those who have real world uses. These coins will definitely be worth x100 in at least 5 years. That's half a decade, mate. I am sure everything will be very high by that time. You can have Waves, ETC, ETH, ADX, and Ripple. Add some more coins if you are targeting a bigger investment.
As far as unknown type coins . . I'd say XtraBytes. Rebrand. Testnet of nodes. Smart contract platform with modules that can be written in most programming languages. It is still way under the radar. No ICO. No inflation. That means it cannot be mined. Very interesting.
The other for me is IOC. .DIONS was delayed yet again, but if the tech is delivered . . watch out.

Ark, Waves, Stratis, Neo, Bitshares. There are so many great projects
Not sure Ark is a good one though. But bitshares, waves are looking promising. Deeponion is hot too, though it will need time to prove itself, but it is free distribution now, so you don't lose anything.
I trust in ripple and sia as a long term investment

i don't know have any coin that get pizza 10000 coin and it go long run. i can suggest some coin that future is good you can select 5 year. you can like Eth, waves, next, mgo etc. pizza for 10,000 BTC

I am currently trying to keep some altcoins that I think have an opportunity to continue to grow in the future such as ZEN, WAVES, ETH, LTC coin this coin is excellent as an investment in the future.
ZenCash: A clone from Zcash and I don't see any interesting point make me want invest to this coin, don't like Zcoin have MTP and improve bugs from Zcash.Litecoin: A clone from Bitcoin (like zencash too). However some people tell this coin is supporter of Bitcoin and is silver if Bitcoin is gold. So in short time litecoin can increasing.
If you can buy particl for cheap then go for it.
And don't forget about bitcoin cash as it is gaining more and more price every day. And now it's mining is also more profitable than bitcoin.
