I use kaspersky for decades. Never failed me. It catches viruses quite good and its web protection also saved me a lot.

I am using McAfee for the past five years, and I would recommend it to all my friends and relatives. It is quite effective, and the best thing is that it doesn't create lag on the system.

I'm using it in our office and so it my desktop pc at home. Never had a problem with this anti virus so I'm also recommending it.

The best anti virus is yourself, I have not caught a virus in years, just avoid installing doubtful software in your computer and you will be fine, and if you need to test something then do it in a sandbox environment.
What you say its truth, but most of people are not like you. Most of people don't know what is safe and what is not. Most of people don't know how to install programs properly and just click next, next, next, finish. And on the way they install a lot of unnecessary programs, which in some cases create problem. And internet, oh boy, that is a story to tell... It was hell for me until my parents learned what is nearly safe to use, and not to click everything that pops out. And for that purposes good anti-virus program is necessary.

Either Norton or Macfee or Quick heal I think these are best and no anti-virus can compete with them. Better use them or use built-in Microsoft security to prevent your system from viruses. As Anti viruses slows down your PC its best to use built in Microsoft security if you are using Windows.

I use mcafee so I will recommend. It's protected me for over a year now without any slowness or hardware malfunction.

Kaspersky lab makes the best antivirus I've ever know . I'm currently running their 2017 Internet security and it's been superb so far. I wouldn't recommend any other.

I think that today we have not the best antivirus software and it has not be in the future. Because if the antivirus company will make the best antivirus software then they will not have a profit in the future. I have used different antivirus software, such as avira, kaspersky, norton. Now I am using nod32 and it is the best for me Smiley
I will try nod32  Smiley I have used avira in the past.
I too have been using Eset nod32 and have been for years. I swear by this antivirus as it doesn't use too many resources and keeps everything secure
